re: 4 Illegal Immigrants walk into a bar
It was my "reasoning" for building a 300 BLK.
Also, anyone want to chime in on 300 blk? Is it the perfect home defense caliber?
At this point, I think overpenetration is a problem with almost every caliber, so I don’t see that as a deciding factor.
I’ve been straining at ...

Worth consideration. In a safe during the day, in this, relatively high up on a wall at night, seems like a good option.
Ruger 9 mm carbine-have models that accept Glock magazines.
I have it on good authority that gun-shy wives like to shoot this more than an AR-15.
It also cycles hollow points better than AR-9s, or so I believe at least.
Only problem is see with it is that it’s so heavy.
Ruger 1022 with multiple loaded magazines in close proximity of your person. Gunshots are gunshots, nobody is sticking around to verify if it’s rimfire or centerfire bullets being propelled in their direction.
Is it worth spending $700 to suppress the AR? To limit muzzle flash and concussion?
Is your significant other going to be able to operate the AR well?
Should it be 9mm instead of 5.56?
Should it be pistol-length or is maneuverability not really a concern?
I’m just trying to think throug...

re: What are your thoughts regarding laws against price gouging during states of emergency?
Ok but you’re also actively hurting poorer people who may not be able to afford the good at the marked up price. I
Let’s be clear. You want to solve the problem of poor people not having NECESSARY items during an emergency. Agreed?
Ok. You need to contend with the fac...

There is no purely market-driven or economic answer to problems like this.
We need people to be good.
A good shop owner doesn’t try to make extra money off of people’s suffering during an emergency.
A good customer wouldn’t buy up all of the stock of some emergency item and then try to re-sel...
