It would be nice to get 1-2 inches of rainfall in Southeast Louisiana. I think here at MSY, New Orleans, we only recorded one day in March where a thunderstorm was heard or detected at the airport. We have only had about 1.20 inches of rain since March began.

Those days are coming.

Eventually, the sun will start to exhaust its supply of hydrogen and balloon out into a red giant. The size of the sun in the sky will grow and Earth will receive more and more sunlight, heating the planet. Seas will boil off. Rocks will melt. Eventually, the sun will cover the entire sky of the Earth. There will be no well-defined day or night because the planet will be inside the sun's envelope.
