Oh man. That’s not how I wanted to start my day. Toby was one of my favorite artists and it was hard seeing what cancer has done to him the past couple of years.

You can tell on his last performance that he knew that his time was almost up

His music wasnt a favorite of mine but I respected the hell out of him for how he dedicated himself to veterans and loved America.

Much to young RIP Toby you are going to be missed.

May you rest in peace, sir.

As a fan, I purchased and listened to a lot of his music over the years. Super talented songwriter and entertainer that gave a lot of his time to supporting veterans.

By all accounts, a really good guy.

I knew he’d been sick but I remember a few months back he’d played a show and I thought he was on the mend.

I’m way too close to his age for this not to shake me a little bit. Cancer is a thief.

Rip to him and prayers to his fam.

I saw him and Gretchen Wilson at the coliseum circa 05-06, back when she was new on scene.

He put on a great show.

Dang, I guess I know what I'm bumping on the ride this morning.

He had a great mullet and some great music videos back in the day. He had a great story. Went from semi pro football to oil field hand to country superstar.

Growing up, I saw him several times at county fairs and rodeos before he really blew up big. Always a great show. Seemed like a good person too.

We lost one of the great ones. I’ll never forget his concert years ago when he was in his prime. There was a whiite F-250 parked on the stage!

I woke up to this news. It seemed like he had turned the corner; I guess his body had finally had enough.

This one hurts. Bad.

Damn. Great human, truly loved his country, and sang some great tunes. I guess “Should Have Been A Cowboy” will be song #1 on the way to work this morning. RIP Toby

Sucks...awful young to die. There is some comfort in knowing that he lived life on his own terms by all accounts...made a living doing something he loved and spent an awful lot of time doing things for others when he could have been selfish and interested only in himself. Not in any way meant to diminish the loss but knowing a life was well lived is some comfort, for me at least.
