Why am I tearing up watching TK videos, I don’t tear up when a family member dies. A part of my childhood gone I guess.

A lot of these big name artists dying bring back memories of growing up or at least days gone by. It can be pretty emotional even if you never even met them

Admittedly, I teared up yesterday when I saw the news. He was one of my absolute favorites and he holds a special place in my heart as an OIF vet and all that he did for the military. This one hurts.

And Steven Colbert of all people w/some very nice words for Toby:

Ronnie Dunn moved around 13 places in his first 12 years. Those states included Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

True but Oklahoma is his home.

Alan Jackson is just fine. He can’t really tour anymore but him dying this year would still be a big surprise

Yeah AJ is fine aside from his ailment.

Now Randy Travis OTOH.....

You are right. He was born and raised in Texas. He didn't move to Oklahoma until college.

His biography said born in Coleman,Texas but didn't say where he was raised except at 13 different locations.

He went to college in Abilene Christian University in Texas. He got expelled for playing in the local honky tonks.

His band with Kix Brooks got started in Tulsa.
