So what if the workers wanted to buy one on their own? Are they going to stop them? This is pretty pathetic and I seriously doubt a tactic such as this is going to win anyone over.

Well, nylon and polyester are both derived from crude oil. So, that accounts for the entirety of the shell, fleece lining, insulated lining, and zippers. Then you have the synthetic rubber for cinch cords, waist bands, and sleeve bands.

I'd say pretty close to, if not actually, 100% of the material construction of a North Face jacket is derived from crude oil.

EXACTLY.

Unfortunately, companies like this can get away with the vapid and ridiculous "virtue signaling" because the majority of people are ignorant as to how these man made products are produced and the media NEVER hold's virtue signalers to task as long as they worship at the liberal alter.

The OVERWHELMING majority of Americans believe the ONLY use of oil is to power modes of transportation. They are wholly ignorant to the fact that MANY of the products they use and rely upon on a daily basis are made in whole or in part from oil based materials

I just emailed VF, the parent, to see if they would sell to me.

Here is the email if you'd like to inquire.

ImagewearCustomerService@vfc.com

I got an auto reply that they were experiencing a "high volume" of requests.

I don't understand this logic. Will doing business with them hurt business? I don't think it would so them not doing business with them isn't going to save the world or anything.

I'd be happy to sell them all the products they want to buy.

Let’s not forget their supply chain. I’m pretty sure they’re not just using electric vehicles to move product. Bunch of hypocrites.

The gas company should cut off their utilities, since they’re so woke now.

This makes sense because my last North Face order arrived by an electric UPS truck.

Innovex CEO's letter to North Face CEO

He's right you know...

quote:

The irony in this statement is your jackets are made from the oil and gas products the hardworking men and women of this industry produce. I think this stance by your company is counterproductive virtue signaling...

There is a huge opportunity here for one of the hundreds of startup clothing brands to supply Innovex with free jackets and cash in on some free social media marketing.

Reminds me of the stupid leftists that took their kayaks out to a rig to protest O&G, not realizing, of course, that just about everything they owned was a result of the work those companies had done.

Port Everett, Washington the irony of their kayaks, signs, clothing, water bottles, etc. being made from hydrocarbons was not lost on any of the workers viewing said display. They have no idea how many o&g products they use daily, or that their way of life depends on, nor do they know everything that goes into production and exploration, especially off the Alaska coast where the rig they were protesting was headed.

Yet, North Face has factories in China, the largest producer of greenhouse gases in the world. North face doesn't give a shite about saving the planet. This is nothing more than a PR move to try and get more soyboys to buy $200 jackets

20-30 years ago North Face made top quality mountain gear. It’s not 20-30 years ago.

Not ordering from carhartt seems like a breach of baw code. Deserved.

All their FR clothing is probably Carhartt. Probably just wan to mix it up a bit for when they are out on the town.
