I bet North Face uses the electricity that the oil business provides. VERY hypocritical.
This is like the drug addict refusing to associate with the drug dealer - except to buy drugs, of course.

“frick these people that like my product”

So they can say no to an O&G company, but a baker can’t refuse to bake a cake? Interesting.

North Face’s founder died of hypothermia. Probably not the group I want to buy cold weather gear from.

I used to regret not having any North Face clothes or jackets. Now I regret and am offended by seeing anybody wearing their propaganda brand.

What the frick does Northface think their rags are made from?

Patagonia has done something similar in the past with my company...said their values didn't align with what Kinder Morgan stands for...despite their fleeces being made from petroleum derived products...

Their company, their choice.

They are trying to beat Patagonia at the Virtue Signal game.

This isn't surprising. Patagonia has been doing this for years.
Yup. You’d have to look pretty hard to find a company who can out virtue signal good old Patagonia. I’ve had run ins with their VP of customer relations over something very similar.

If the product is good quality and has good value for the dollar - then I don’t really care who they support or don’t support. As long as they aren’t dems. Lol
Last summer my son was boycotting chik fila and informed me in the drive through that he was boycotting them, so I just ordered 1 sandwich.
“So are we gonna stop so somewhere else”?
“Nope we just stopped”.
If a person looks hard enough they can find any reason/s not to do business with anyone.

Boiled down a little more, North Face declined to sell off the rack (as far as I know) merch to an O&G company and is celebrated whole a Baker refusing to make a custom cake for someone got ruined.
Apparently being woke means the rules don’t apply to you.

I hope your son learned an important lesson from that.

too bad the oil and gas companies couldn't keep North Face from using any O and G products - including those necessary to ship their products.

Second hand Arcteryx is more expensive and better quality than new North Face.

Purchase hundreds of NF jackets and have a 3rd party place the company logo.
Take hundreds of pics of employees in them and put on social media. Some group shots, some with just one to a few employees in action. Make sure NF logo is always front and center. Do one big arse group photo and make it the landing page of their website.
Laugh at NF and every time one of their PR people comment that they don’t support your company, use the occasion to put them on blast and remind them that they use your products from point A to Z during their procurement to production to market process to make 1000% profit on on the backs of foreign slave labor.

I bought an Arcteryx Atom jacket a few years ago. Worn it many miles on trails and also in the office. Best jacket ive ever owned.
I was at a bonfire a few weeks ago and a damn ember burnt a hole in it. They offered to give me 40% off a new one

Won’t fill an order for an oil and gas company but the majority of their products are made overseas and shipped to the US.
If they actually cared they would reduce their carbon footprint by making their products in the country they are sold
But we all know they don’t actually care. And their marketing team is just looking for any easy, low cost way to virtue signal
