So you left your daughter to be isolated for the rest of the day

Way to stick it to the CDC, man!

My kid was told to walk another sick kid to the school nurse. Sick kid has covid, my kid forced to quarantine, then fails math test because virtual learning system doesn’t work.

Let’s go something something….

Bunch of Sheep

I don’t understand it. People must just want to miss work and school.

First of all people need to stop testing but second people need to stop telling the school they tested positive.

I have a feeling the school may be testing kids without saying anything. Wife went to do one of the at home tests, and 2 y/o freaked out when she saw the Qtip and covered her nose. She has never been tested, that we are aware of, how the frick did she know that's where it goes?

When there is a positive, all they tell us is the kids need to be picked up as there was a positive in the classroom. Can't disclose more information as health information about individual students, faculty, and staff is protected...

There rule is stay out 5 days and can return with a negative test administered within 48 hours of return. If no test, must stay out 10 days

Better than my daycare. If the child is within 6 feet of someone who tests positive for more than 5 minutes we have two options.

1.) She stays home and cam return to daycare on day if she gets a negative test after day 5

2.) She can come back on day 10 if we choose not to test her after day 5.

We have two kids and get hit with this shite every 3 weeks or so.

While there are idiots with no symptoms getting tested just because, many people are there so they can go back to work. I was one of them. Had to do it ducking twice for my job a week ago and then they stopped making us retest to come back the day after I went out with covid. These companies have no idea wtf they’re doing and the cdc isn’t helping at all.

Boy, you really showed them. So your kid got to sit in a room and do nothing while you proved a point, way to go......
I agree the policy is stupid, but the school did not make it, so make their life suck even worse?

The school called us to come pick up our daughter early today because “she had been exposed”. They then said she will have to miss 5 days and on day 5 they recommend her get a test. I asked if she was sick or showing symptoms and they said no she isn’t. So I told them then I will be there at the end of the school day to pick her up and she won’t be getting a test on day 5. Im tired of this shite.

I’m a teacher and I’m tired of it too. We shut down for over a week recently due to a spike in COVID cases in the area. We have a long list of kids out due to just exposure.

And as someone who likes to travel internationally, it’s frustrating as hell finding countries that are open and then what hoops I’m going to have to jump through to get in.

It’s all insane and it’s been going on for almost two full years. If you’re scared to death of COVID just stay the frick home and rot away.

Those protocols are ridiculous. May as well shut down the school then if we are gonna send everyone home for at least 5 days after a single exposure

We shouldn’t be sending people home to isolate unless they are sick.

Not surprising but that is fricking ridiculous. If you're sick, stay at home. If not, then business as usual. This is so fricking stupid they can't figure it out after 2 years of this shite.

Daycare is 10 day quarantine for exposure.

Find a better daycare

My kid had an exposure last week. He hasn’t had to miss a day

No different than my kids in school. They have yet to have to quarantine for any exposure during this whole ordeal.

We made that mistake 2 weeks ago. My daughter and I both tested positive and the day before she could go back to school the whole family went and got tested. That's when my son tested positive and had never had a symptom before or after that and we still had to keep him home for the week.

Look, we have ALWAYS used draconian measures for a mild cold. Why do you want grandma to die!? Wear your 3 masks and hide in your house forever!

I wish people would stop getting tested or at least just stop telling the schools and employers. If you aren’t sick and pop positive just go on with your day.

I have a feeling asymptomatic spread is virtually zero.

At our school, if you are exposed, if you are vaxxed and have no symptoms, you don't have to sequester.

No, it just shows how incredibly selfish you are by not double or even triple masking and taking your boosters. Guys like you are so easy to sniff out.
