Women’s hockey is far more entertaining to watch than women’s basketball. Not even close. The skill from that girl that scored the winner tonight was top notch.

A 4.0 definitely doesn't get you into UT with 100% certainty. Maybe A&M as well.

Do note that schools in Texas have kids with GPAs above 4.0 where you get extra grade points if you take AP classes. I had like a 4.2 and solid SAT and still didn't get into UT in 02. Got into A&M.

UT is harder to get into now than in 02.

He probably should qualify his comment. A&M definitely isn’t the same level as UT. In fact, I think it’s easier to get into than 10–15 years ago.

But having a 4.0 (not on a 4.0 scale) is generally not good enough to get you into A&M and especially UT when you go to good suburban schools due to the top % rule.

Perhaps LSU is waiving out of state more now?

They waived out of state for me due to academics when I was there 02-05.

Got into A&M but not UT due to class rank. It’s a bitch at competitive suburban schools.
