Sounds like water levels are high but relatively stable if not increasing a little. I think the main flood threat is done for Baton Rouge honestly, could be wrong though esp for the Gardere area.

Nice. Where I can see ward creek it looks like it still has 4-5 feet it can swell before it starts overflowing, so I think it'll be fine.

I think Nicholson at gardere is at risk.

I didn't see anything.

Westhaven is flooded but it isn't anything too serious.

Again, for those who haven't been following along, Westhaven's problems are not representative of the surrounding area. It appears to have uniquely shitty drainage, and I believe you were saying it started yesterday in the early AM.

How long will it be til we see a decrease? I'm on Meadow Bend on Hadley Drive, Neighbor said the street hasn't flooded but other streets have. I guess I'm asking if you think there will be a high spike in level or its pretty much passed or so

hey told me the equipment was 20+ years old, and replacement parts were not readily available for it. I know it's just an anecdote, but to me that's indicative of the way the whole place runs (or doesn't). They fly by the seat of their pants, fingers crossed, hoping nothing bad happens. We didn't even have bad weather, no storm, no hurricane... the equipment just went out and they were totally unprepared. Business phone service down for nearly a week. Pathetic.

On the bright side they may take this opportunity to upgrade the infrastructure in the area. They are already laying out fiber at a furious pace in St. Tammany.

"From Ascension Parish authorizes....We need to get the word our that folks living along ridge road and low lying areas of bluff road need to take the flooding potential seriously. We are expecting 4 feet of water going over the road for the next 24-36 hours."

From WAFB

4 feet going over ridge or bluff? 4 feet over bluff in the ridge area could be a problem

I think north of Gardere/Nicholson area can not be ruled out for some more risk. I saw extensive water of Burbank in green areas stretching far. Could not go on Nicholson for survey though.

can anyone update on Alligagor Bayou? and does anyone know if areas on the Geismar side of Spanish Lake swamp are in danger if the swamp keeps taking on water?
