Chris Nakamora was supposedly heading to the Gardere/Burbank area for some emergency situation, but we missed his report. Anyone know what's going on over that way or what CN's report was about?
Wasn't anything happening at Gardere/Burbank at 1 PM. Gardere from Burbank to Nicholson was dry as a bone. Maybe they meant to report on nearby Westhaven, the flooded subdivision behind Albertsons, which again, is a unique situation that began yesterday in the early AM. It's the only interesting thing going on out there aside from some street flooding in front of Albertsons.

Yes, about 11:30. The water just kept coming and coming and I got out when I could
I'm glad you left. My nephew just went to my parents' house in a kayak and they now have 7 inches in their house.

I hoping Black Bayou and New River start to recede soon

Baton Rouge in August crisis. Nothing like the feeling of people in boats in the street, gas lines, rumors, no electricity and food rations. This is like flashbacks to baton rouge childhood.

Gardere between Burbank and Nicholson is still bone dry. Just drove through.

I'm about to go check this situation now
Awesome, thanks. That's my brother's neck of the woods, so I've been wondering how that area is fairing. I know he and his family are okay, just worried about their house now.
And I feel helpless 700 miles away not being able to do anything to help any of yall. I really appreciate the updates. I'm not getting anything done at work tracking all this stuff.

From Ascension Parish authorities....We need to get the word our that folks living along ridge road and low lying areas of bluff road need to take the flooding potential seriously. We are expecting 4 feet of water going over the road for the next 24-36 hours.

I think the upper part of the picture is Santa Maria golf course.
Bottom right is CCL?

Yeah, I've been all Baghdad bob too, but if there's 4 feet of water over bluff at the entrance to ridge, yeah that's a problem. i don't know what the elevation is right there but I know it's really low right there. So it could have no affect

Did the water make it to swamp road?

FYI For this worried about U Club, I think we already dispelled the evacuation rumors but I just passed a St. George fire truck that was just checking out the south side of the neighborhood (bordering Bayou Manchac). They said we were good to go, no evacuation.
