Anyone know what the situation is on Joe Sevario where Merritt Evans crosses? I live on the street near the volunteer fire dept substation. Just wondering what the water situation looks like. (We evac'd to a relative's house yesterday afternoon.)

I just saw a picture on facebook of the intersection of Joe Sevario and hwy 933. The water is VERY high there. That is all I can tell you.

5124 Brightside View

Thank you!

There are tenants in some of the units but I haven't heard from those owners in a couple days.

Again thank you!

They told me the equipment was 20+ years old, and replacement parts were not readily available for it. I know it's just an anecdote, but to me that's indicative of the way the whole place runs (or doesn't). They fly by the seat of their pants, fingers crossed, hoping nothing bad happens.

Why didn't you upgrade your equipment to conform with this century?

You still use whale-oil lamps?

I can't get back there. The street, Southern Hills is flooded all the way from Charlestown to the intersection with Bellerive Court. The golf course is flooded just up to the houses at a minimum from the creek to the first cul de sac to the right on Southern Hill so we can only walk down the cart path to that point. I'm not saying those houses are flooded. Just that the streets are impassable and the water is up into the yards either at the house or close to the house.

It would depend on your home elevation. I would say it doesn't look good. But again, it depends on how high your house is. Those houses down Southern Hills on the golf course headed to your house that I can see from the cart path look like the water is up to the back doors but not over.

Super, wanted to follow upon what i was reporting. I do see ward creek from my back yard, but what I actually have running behind me is a little tributary that hangs off of ward. I just moved into this house in March and hadn't really looked at a map of Ward creek before, so I thought it was actually the creek itself. That little tributary has risen maybe 6-8" over the morning hours, but I can't tell how much Ward itself has risen.

It looks like Ward is still back flowing as of about 20 minutes ago, but not much water movement in the tributary behind my house.
