BRPD’s budget is $95 million. Not sure if that includes federal funds. Once other sources are considered they probably clear $100 million. The way I read it this does not include the prosecutors or the courts. Why isn’t this enough?

When is someone going to have the balls to say that the black population in this country has a cultural problem that leads to violence & poor decision making. The other impoverished non-caucasian minorities in this country are the control group to prove it’s not strictly a poverty / opportunity issue.

I have a challenge for these idiots. Open a business in these neighborhoods or near enough for the residents to walk to (because we’ve been told driving is unattainable for a certain demographic). Provide services and jobs for these residents. I’ll set the over under at 1 year on how long it stays open.

I remember a thread a long time ago about businesses which tried to open in a few select zip codes but I couldn’t find it.

We can argue all we want about the why but until the government holds itself accountable for the lack of appropriate action nothing will ever get done. In two decades I bet we are still talking about the same stupid bullshite.

cultural problem

When I am building a rapport with suspects in the interview room or just giving them advice on the way to jail, I ask these 4 questions.

Did you have a relationship with your father growing up?

Do you have children prior to marriage?

Did you graduate high school?

Do you have a job?

Negative responses to all 4 are the overwhelming norm.

Yes, it’s as if he is just marking time.

I can adjust my football spending based on the value I perceive I get from the coaches, games, players, etc. I do not have that option with my taxes. The majority of the city keeps electing these idiots, and no amount of money will change that fact. I’d burn my extra dollars before I handed anymore than I was legally required to, to the idiots running this city.

We don’t have a violence issue in this country as much as we have a prohibition and addiction problem in this country.

We have both. Most cities do right now. Baton Rouge is definitely up high on that list though.

The solution to the murders and crime is to have police in the areas that have the most violent crimes. Unfortunately, Chief dumbass doesn’t put his officers out there. Now part of that reason is because they need three police units together roaming around at a time. It’s pretty simple but chief dumbass doesn’t want to make his guys do it and he certainly won’t lead by example.

This is what you get when the main qualification of your police chief is the color of his skin. Nobody likes that corrupt piece of shite. Tons of people have retired or transferred to other law enforcement agencies so they don’t have to deal with him. Morale sucks.

This is just talking about enforcing the law. This isn’t even taking into consideration the broken families, lack of fathers in children’s lives and lack of faith and love. Instead we get elected and unelected people who think their opinions mean something. It means you pay more because they don’t want to name the hard decisions. They need excuses to say they are doing something.

They want to let it burn and take your money in the process. Give millions to Alton sterling’s family, what a disgrace.

Hillar Moore III challenged the community to address a longstanding discrepancy: the amount of money invested in college sports compared to spending on programs aimed at breaking the devastating cycles of poverty and violence.

Hey Hillar: It’s not the lack of money causing crime to escalate, it’s your crooked judges letting ”their people” go with a slap on the wrist and you know it.

I mean you aren’t wrong about the judges, but what does Hillar have to do with the judges sentencing?

Those aren’t “his” judges.

Why, not a single spending program over the past 60 years has netted anything more than higher crime, more govt dependence, and lining the pockets of people like Gravy.

By sitting idly and not drawing attention to the judges giving out light sentences, setting bail too and delaying trials ; he had become part of the problem.

Let the animals fight it out in Memorial stadium, gladiator style. Sell tickets, make bank, and criminals off the streets. Win, win

I know it's an uncomfortable subject for many- but it is factual. There is a culture of death operating in this city that is clearly within the black community. The numbers are undeniable. Yes, bad people are within every demographic. But playing the "whataboutism" game does not take away from the obvious, in this case.
No good citizen wants this to continue. I feel badly for those trapped in their own homes living in fear of the criminal element that roams the streets.

The only solution is for those INDIVIDUALS choosing to be a part of the death culture to be removed from society. NOT CATCH AND RELEASE- IT IS NOT WORKING.
They do not respect human life, they do not respect themselves- and your life is worth whatever is in your wallet, to them.

Unacceptable. Take out the trash.
