Salon with ice cream? Anybody read that on the wall? Should’ve stuck with brownie a la mode and sold donuts on the side providing an essential service to back the blue.

She was violating an order from the governor.

But she was incarcerated for contempt of court related to a temporary restraining order enforcing the governor’s order.

Ok, last edit. The county and city also issued orders mirroring the governor, but Abbott did shut down hair salons.

Is her attorney named Warren Norred?

Warren has also served as volunteer counsel for the Tarrant County Republican Party (as well as a precinct chair) and was recently elected to the State Republican Executive Committee, which governs the Texas GOP.

Yikes.

Do you even know what a damn law is? What law did she break?

Where did a duly elected, representative body draft, debate, pass, and have the executive branch sign said law?

None of this lockdown BS is law. It is all based on unconstitutional orders.

With her going to jail for contempt of court, end of story.

She had the option of getting an injunction, she did not have the option of telling the court FU.

Thread title is misleading.

If you think about it, the $1200 stimulus was kind of meant to compensate us for the general inconveniences and such, and if she was out of work, she could have probably got unemployment

Clearly you didn’t.

So much for the myth of Texas being a tough as nails, independent minded state where the government will uphold the rights and freedoms of its citizens.

Why you even answer that clown is funny. Everyone I know, including myself, have been paying rent since this started
