Im struggling to believe how its not?
You have x amount of working hours per month/quarter.
You have y amount of booths.
Now im not a salon owner, but if I were, my goal would be to at least reach break even with my expenditures. Which means there is some sort of price per head value that needs to be reached to accomplish this.
Obviously we want to make profit so we would have to exceed this.
So what you have now in the equation is customer (and all the misc variables that comes with upselling etc.) and time. Both extremely important to the outcome of the business.
You are effectively stealing time from the business with the EO. Therefore, time is indeed property of the business.
Or thats how I at least look at.

These dumbasses will think they are right when it’s gets cold and people are inside more often so stuff (like the flu) becomes more prevalent. You know like every other year

But people who can’t get their hair done now will get it done when everything reopens. Her 0 for April may turn out to be double in June

God I love how much freedom we enjoy in this country.
This is the new norm; we become more and more like China everyday.

While true there is a problem here.
She might not make it to June.

most men get haircuts about once a month on average. They're not getting their haircut twice in May to makeup for not being able to get it cut in April. It wouldn't even make sense to do that.
There's also only so many hours in the day, and a lot of people who cut hair are booked solid normally every week, so it's not like they can just make up that time.

So, it’s ok with you that she’s going to jail for going to work?

That is irrelevant. The salon owner still hast lost all the sales from the previous two months. People aren't going to get their hair cut three times in June to make up for missing April and May.

Screw that.
Go to a federal court and swear out an arrest warrant for the judge. Charge him with violating 18 USC 242, which states that it is illegal to use the color of office (LEO or judge) to violate a citizen's civil rights.
Make his arse sit in jail for a bit and see how he likes it...

Didn’t Governor Abbott make it really clear that no one was going to jail or getting a citation for opening up? I’d rip that ticket up and call my lawyer.

So because her field of employment isn't a life or death necessity, she should deal with it? Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but most of our jobs aren't necessary. But all of our jobs, collectively, is what makes the economy work.

If you think about it, $1200 doesn't even cover rent or mortgage payment for a lot of people. $1200 really isn't shite. And if you have spoken to anyone that has applied for unemployment, many many have yet to receive a dime yet. That process doesn't yield payments overnight.

Oh, and about the $1,200, for the people it wouldn’t be shite to, they didn’t get it.

What?
This is when you make the argument that “we have the constitution and they don’t”, and I then point out that that supposed rigid cornerstone of our republic seems to be more and more “arbitrary” by the day.
Protesting and gathering being proclaimed “non-essential” and being shutdown with media and public (not sure of size) support.
