If you disagree with a court order, the correct thing to do is appeal.
Ignore it at your own peril.
If you watch the video of her it becomes clear that this is a story we've seen time and time again. White woman believes that laws don't apply to her for some reason and just keeps making things worse for herself. When she was initially cited for reopening she said said she wasn't paying the fine, wouldn't shut down, didn't know what was going to happen and that maybe they (the state) would just go away.

This is ridiculous. I admire her for not bowing down to that activist judge who asked her to admit she was selfish. I will be glad to donate to help her. It is unreal how far liberal this city has gone since I moved here in 2006. The libs have literally taken over all power. This is TEXAS for Christ's sake.

The U.S. Supreme Court found that the “police power” of the States embraces “reasonable regulations …as will protect the public health and safety.” Jacobson v. Massachusetts, 197 U.S. 11 (1905).
Emergency or police powers exist so state and local governments can act quickly to protect their citizens. Generally, a governing body will declare an emergency—whether it’s on the local or state level. The declaration of an emergency allows a governing body to issue orders to protect life and property and may allow suspension of certain laws or regulations that could hinder emergency efforts. Depending on the jurisdiction, an emergency declaration might (for example) last 30 or 60 days and then require legislative approval for an extension. Once the emergency ends, the emergency orders also end.
In a state of emergency, the government can restrain and regulate certain rights and liberties—such as the freedom to travel—for the greater good. But actions taken must be reasonable and use the least restrictive means. So, while generally, the government cannot restrict your movements, in the interest of health and safety, the government could temporarily limit or suspend your right to travel through shelter-in-place orders. Mandatory quarantines and isolation orders are other measures a government might need to take to protect public health. States can also enact curfews to maintain public order.

Big box stores open - ok
NYC subway open - ok
Salons open - RED ALERT
Nothing reasonable about the above.

This right here is where many of these executive orders fall short.

I agree with both of you.

This is going to continue to get worse. Sooner or later the fighting will start. It just takes the right spark. True Americans are here, We are getting impatient, we see what’s taking place. We know that it requires real sacrifice. No storming a building dress like bozo the commando and standing there like a dill isn’t going to change anything. It’s your ordinary average joes when we start showing up in mass. You’ll see change.

To be fair, Bozo lived in a pretty rough part of Chicago. It was out of necessity.

Texas has quite a few draconian bullshite regulations. Just off the top of my head: front license plate requirements and vehicle inspection stickers.

Has this thread discussed this part yet?
Moye told Luther he would consider not giving her jail time, if she admitted that she was wrong, that she was selfish, and that she should apologize to the elected officials whose orders she violated.

The gofundme for her is doing very well. And this pretty much sums up the stupidity of this whole thing:
