I wish she wasn't so nice about it... I wish she would have thrown in

"You can sit up there on your high horse, earning your salary no matter what, but the people who have to actually work to provide for their families disagree... Unless you want to give me a portion of your paycheck to stay closed"

This is ridiculous. So many businesses are open while others sit and watch.

I just saw the video of her in court. Did the judge really give her a choice to “admit she is selfish” to avoid the jail time?

That’s like getting in a fight in school and the principal telling you to apologize to avoid suspension.

Look at the difference between her on the video cam in court and her taking pictures in pubic.

She could feed her kids for a couple months with just the money she spends on makeup.

This is also a story of poor financial planning on her part. Salon's in Dallas were closed in late March, and by late april, the owner had already missed a mortgage payment.

You’d likely be shocked to know how many popular and “successful” businesses are a disruption away from being in the red and financially ruined.

Sadly, most businesses don’t flood the owners with reserves of cash as much of the earnings are reinvested in the business in the way of equipment, competitive pay for employees and advertising.

Also, all of the massive layoffs from monster corporations should show that there’s really no business in the world that can take a one month cashflow break without serious financial repercussions.

Exactly, my aunt is a dentist with her own practice. Her overhead costs is outrageous. I was talking to her the other day and she said made in the month of April was what she normally made in one day prior to the pandemic.

She was also telling me that in order for her to reopen, she is going to have to install a $10,000 air purifying system in the HVAC. She will also have to purchase PPE for all patients which will have to disposed after each patient (which is not going to be covered by insurance).

Very much like the 1930s Soviet "Show Trials" where they insisted the defendants shame themselves and admit their conduct was not in the interest of the people.

a majority of business debt in this country is rated BBB or below. Many people gambled on this economy continuing to thrive, living on the edge and not expecting a global lockdown to suddenly destroy demand.

It's BS that now demand is creeping back up but we have the government artificially limiting supply. These are people just trying to make a living and the extreme delays in getting small business loans and stimulus checks out should prove to you or anyone that we can't depend on Uncle Sam to print enough money to get us out of this crisis.

Here is the Federal Lawsuit filed for the Mississippi Barber last week. Maybe it will help with understanding the violations to the constitution. Link

This is completely made up either by you or your aunt. Do better.

If you watch the video of her it becomes clear that this is a story we've seen time and time again. White woman believes that laws don't apply to her for some reason and just keeps making things worse for herself. When she was initially cited for reopening she said said she wasn't paying the fine, wouldn't shut down, didn't know what was going to happen and that maybe they (the state) would just go away.

Shockingly, the Governor of Texas disagrees with you Comrade Kilroy
