except for paying on your lease/mortgage, property taxes, insurance, licensing fees, etc. Business costs don't just go away when your doors are closed. In fact, very few of them go away

This country isn't worth saving. Half of this country is obese. More than 1/3 of us are dependent on the government. Our idols are shallow, egocentric celebrities who have one standard for themselves and another for everyone else. And we've shown we're willing to throw away the freedom to make our own mistakes because of a goddamn virus.

You're seriously going to agree with the deranged take that if Biden is elected, dissenting opinions will land you in jail?

You mean like a small business owner operating a small salon?

You need a little more experience in this world. Every one of your instincts is off base.

The landlord doesn’t have mouths to feed? He needs money too

Hell, if working is so non-important to you why do we ever do it?

You think all these businesses that have been shut down aren't having to pay rent right now?

I think he's transitioned into pretending he was trolling because he and everyone else figured out he doesn't know what the frick he's talking about.

He might be one of the most ignorant people I've seen when it comes to understanding how business works.

Very small chance. VERY small.

As long as this is found to be a legal order, she's SOL. Courts give insane deference to the state in times of crisis.

I mean, the shite in this thread is insane.

Arrested for running her nail salon.

It’s almost comical in its insanity.

She was arrested for defying an order from a judge. She could have appealed the order and fought that legally, but decided to go the other way and just ignore it. Courts don't look too favorably on that type of behavior.

When you are talking about constitutional issues, that's a distinction without a difference. When a county judge decides you can't leave your house, or operate your business, or speak your mind, appealing to a court doesn't make much logical sense.

Semantics

The actions that got her arrested was simply opening her business, a nail salon

The actions that got people arrested in North Carolina was have a peaceful protest

Those things are currently happening in America. At this point anything is possible regarding possible dictatorship in this country

I sure hope she bankrupt’s those asshats running that country when she wins her lawsuit. On top of that I hope as part of the settlement that judge in charge spends seven days in jail.

When a court ruling and/or legistlation violates constitutional rights, that's exactly when you appeal to a higher court. How exactly do you think constitutional issues are ever heard? (through the appeals process).

Her mistake was not appealing the cease and desist order. What it appears she is going to jail for is contempt of court.
