The downfall of this company was when they decided to start cutting the bread the retarded way they do it now.

their food was shite, over priced sandwiches with cheap arse meats.

Literally every and any sub shop is better and tastes better.

PS anyone had planet subs??? new one close to opening, and i think only 1 or 2 others in area.

No more of that healthy crap!

Just because they once had a once fat arse who got skinny pedophile as their spokesperson, doesn't mean it's healthy. I don't really see a meatball sub being that healthy. It's better than soy hamburger patties that also has pink slim in it, but I bet Subway could increase business by adding a drive thru.

Quiznos was great from 2006-2009. But then they changed their bread and chicken... and promptly filed Bankruptcy cause the new stuff was terrible.

I discovered FireHouse subs in Gonzales. Subway is closer but the service is like going to Popeyes.

I love the New York Streamer from FH. Plus they have sport channel televisions.

The market was crowded 10 years ago. They just fell off with their quality. There was plenty of competition back 10-15 years ago.

I like Poboy Express, NY Bagel, or Fresh Junkie in my neck of the woods.

In little tiny St Bernard Parish, we have 4 of them. They are pretty much always empty and keep weird hours. Generally their food is not very good and they are starting to resemble McDonalds in their hiring practices.

We could lose 2 of the 4 and be fine.

Well Subway is my go to place when I try to eat healthy. Guess that tells you something about the rest of my diet

Aren’t the majority franchises? They’re probably just shutting down some corporate locations that aren’t helping the bottom line, either due to real estate or sales

I wish they’d close them all.

I mean, Subway was never that good. They were the only show in town.

In Hammond we’ve got Firehouse, Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mike’s, and Which Wich, any of which I’d rather have than subway.

Their same store sales have been dropping for a while. They don't invest much in revamping their menu, and new competitors are just better.

I know a couple of franchise owners that are seeing way less income than in the past.

They became the "budget" sandwich. The $5 foot long.

That was their response to new competitors. They haven't really been able to shake that.

The chicken teriyaki sub is plenty low calorie if you don’t add shite like mayo to it. So you’re all good.

I rarely go to subway but when I do, it is easy to get a sub-400-cal sandwich.

Jersey Mike’s puts about 4x as much meat as Subway, plus they usually have specials - at least they send them to me all the time

What’s up with all these companies closing stores? Did I miss something?
