Big difference there was BYU lost to the same team twice by similar amounts.

Bama beat UGA in Athens and then lost the rematch. There games are not the same. Plus BYU was at #11 they weren’t getting in anyway.

So you want to leave out the #1 seed in the SEC but keep in the 3-5 seeds even though they got to sit home and rest up? Do you know what kind of precedent that sets?? No team should be penalized for playing in the champ game just like you should not gain an advantage by sitting home.
If they leave bama out how many teams would try and throw games so they finish at least 3 instead of #1 or #2 in the conference. You can’t do something like that because it would affect the integrity of the game.

Is the best offense in the country in the room with us. Nothing this year has showed me they were a top Offense especially the last 5 games. Maybe 5 games ago you could make that argument but TY has been substandard by many metrics the last 5 games. The OL play hasn’t don’t him favors but his poor play is directly responsible for today’s outcome.

I think you would not find many people who thought we would be 11-1 with arguably the toughest schedule in CFB.

I think if you had told anyone before the start of the season this year you will end the reg season 10-2 beating your rival and a SEC Champ birth and playoff birth but the other two loses were random. Everyone here would ecstatic with that.

There is zero chance the committee penalizes a team for making its conference championship game. The precedent that would set would be catastrophic for college football. SEC championship game will be canceled almost immediately if this were to occur and I bet the other conferences would soon follow suit. ESPN 100% does not want that.
