This is about quality. It's been posted already but other places put out a better product. As far as my opinion, I can order off the menu from other places and it have to tell them how to make the whole sandwich

Lot of sandwich snobs on here. Subway isn't the best but they have reasonably priced value meals and more locations. As far as being healthy, it as healthy as make it. At least you're getting options.

There's major over-saturation. Hell, somethings there's two in the same shopping center.

Discovered this chain in DC. Would be a homerun if they opened here.

There are three on Bluebonnet in BR. One is located a quarter mile from the other.

Hope they don't close the one in Moorhead, Ms.

When I'm busy in summer on the farm and don't have time to drive 15-20 min to a larger town for lunch my options are only gas station chicken, a greasy soul food joint, the community college cafeteria buffet, or subway.

It's relatively cheap to open a subway. They expanded rapidly and now they are way over saturated.

The other sub shop chains - Jimmy Johns, Firehouse, Which Wich, Jersey Mikes - put out a better product than Subway.

The Philly Cheesesteak from Which Wich is legit.

Well Subway is my go to place when I try to eat healthy. Guess that tells you something about the rest of my diet

Subway has a ton of healthy options. There are several healthy options for sandwiches, and the chopped salads are very good.

The quality isn't as good as Jimmy Johns, or Jersey Mike's, or Firehouse, among others, but they are a hell of a lot better than Quizno's or Blimpie, if that dump even still exists.

This is the reason they are closing. The franchise requirements are the easiest in the food entry, but they don't accurately assess areas, traffic, and population density. They'll pretty much let a franchisee put one almost anywhere, and that has led to a lot of redundant locations.
