Angola has this.

1 problem with those rifled guards up there, THEY ARE HUMAN. Humans are lazy and slip up often, 2 things an aggressive pit aren't

Would it be possible to train pit bulls to sit in the guard shack and attack the guards if they fall asleep or look at their phones? Or maybe some sort of snake system.

With today's tech, the idea of a person standing guard in a tower seems pretty stupid.

I have $30 cameras that can detect a person or movement. $20k on the best cameras and there's literally no way a prisoner could get into an unauthorized area without detection.

Personally, I blame Andy Dufresne for this problem.

What if every prisoner is implanted with an RFID chip and there are readers along the perimeter. Whenever the chip crosses the line pit bulls are released that are trained to track the chip via a series of beeps emanating from their collar.

I've been thinking the same thing since this recent escape. Motion and heat detectors, as well as permanently affixed tracking devices, seem to be getting affordable enough to be feasible in prisons.

How about you take the fence down all together, put land mines covering the entire perimeter that is marked for them to know not to cross, put a gps chip on them that they cannot remove and if they cross that line, kaboom!
I would say just have someone shoot them, but i'd prefer the killing be more in the hands of a bomb, as opposed to another human having to kill them directly.

Implying that the current system doesn't work? Only about .1% of the imprisoned population escapes every year.

They would just pay $20k for your same $30 cameras.

Or just electrify the second fence with enough electricity to kill someone and a few prisoners may just do society a favor and end their sentence early.

Liberals. They are already screaming about cruel and unusual punishment now.

Triple fence system would be better no? Dogs between the first and poisonous snakes between the next two maybe?

And a moat with Sharks with Laser beams attached to their heads!
