Double...triple fence system. Sounds like a marketing meeting at Schick ..."let's go quintuple blades"

I'm no expert on prison breaks but I suspect that decided fences are there to keep the lazy unimaginative in. Resourceful one are sneaking out via unaware vehicles or the female prison guard that is convinced she has found her soul mate

Is it not possible to build a double fence system where they have a bunch of aggressive dogs roaming around in the middle? Escape 1st fence and then you have a real problem. Why wouldn't this work?

I think they should bring back penal colonies. Just buy some island in the middle of the ocean and drop off anyone with a life sentence. air drop supplies once a month and they can fend for themselves.

With today's tech, the idea of a person standing guard in a tower seems pretty stupid.

Detecting them and stopping them are two different things. I don't think the public is ready for automated systems that shoot at people.

That way the ACLU can sue you for cruel and unusual.

They're criminals, and have earned 3 meals a day, lodging, health care, gym, higher education, and cable TV for committing heinous crimes. We cant vilify them

No fences but completely surrounded by a massive, angry, flock of Canadian geese.

Inmates have nothing better to do than figure out how to escape.

With lifers, guards and wardens come and go. The inmate stays and figures out every security flaw.

The supermax might be escape proof but that's expensive and impractical as the standard.

I always thought land mines between the fences was the way to go. They could show each prisoner a ten minute video right after dusting them for lice and if they tried climbing the first fence, The prison guards could call out the 'Uh OH" squad and say, "Bubba should have paid more attention to the video."

We take the seriousness of prison escapes much too little. There need to be consequences.

I know Red was speechless when he saw what Andy had done. I bet I have seen that scene 30 times. Video DVD is in the cabinet across from me right now. May make that 31 this afternoon.

It's weird how the Nazis had a more inescapable prison system in the 1940s than prisons today.

Why not have a moat full of alligators between the two fences?

I think Angola might be ahead of the game on this. West Feliciana looks pretty snaky all around.

Let them smoke weed and they’ll never wanna leave. Probably better if we just keep them in their smoking weed all day so they can’t wreck havoc on the rest of us upon their release.
