Vote to change the city government. St. George didn’t do this to you, the metro counsel and the mayor/president did. They’re all up for election this fall.

They are trying to take those flags down outside the courthouse. This flag bearer was clearly outflanked.

I don't believe that anyone residing within the boundaries of BR proper that vote against the constant taxes and Democrats deserve this. I'm sure there are many in BR wish they lived in the SG area. But, the rest of us shouldn't be fleeced anymore, if we can help it. Again, not your fault, but maybe consider moving. Or, continue to pay your taxes and hope that Democrats stop getting elected in BR.

Nah. But it isn't SG residents fault you get taxed more. It is BR city's fault.

Your community was screwing over thousands of people to benefit you. Deal with it

Not quite.
His community was stealing from thousands to fund illegal corruption in his community. Now that they have lost the funding they've mad it abundantly career they no intention of defunding the corruption and that city of BR residents will have to pay massive taxes to cover what was being stolen from St George.

The issue is that people have businesses in St George but might live elsewhere.
What if you live in Ascension and own a business in BR, should you be able to vote in BR? Business owners don’t have voting rights. Residents do.

Judge says ME Cormier has no standing. Mayor and Lamont Cole do.

Legit question, how much as been stolen from ST. George? How did you quantify that? How was it stolen? Who stole it?
As an EBR resident we actually did sit down together and decide we were going to steal from St. George. Just want to know how you figured us out.

Yeah, I’m still pissed I don’t get to vote on who is going to be the president of Mexico. It’s bullshite and hypocrisy.

Exactly. I think the folks in Mexico, Canada, China, North Korea, Russia, etc. should all get votes in the upcoming U.S. Presidential election.

Not sure who tommy is but he has to have some sort of affiliation with St George. He’s always in these threads giving detailed explanations and plans for the future

Not acting like a hero at all. Just looking at things objectively. This is all about the money, in Baton Rouge is fighting this so hard because they're on the losing side.

You didn't steal it - Your city government did. For some reason you want to turn your anger to citizens of St George instead of directing towards the government officials in your city that are responsible.

quote:How exactly? Taxes by design are meant to be net-zero. Each individual pays a set amount for the services provided to them. So as I said before,
ERB residents have been "unfairly" doing the same thing.
quote:
If BR had a proper system in place, the decrease in tax revenue would be offset by the decrease in services they no longer have to provide.
Clearly this is not the case. If Baton Rouge was unfairly footing the bill for St. George as you said, the city would be welcoming the change because they would see an increase in revenue. Instead they're talking about being insolvent and having to cut programs by 20% across the board.
If you unmingled the funds and looked at the numbers objectively, you would see that the pertanges of BR's taxes are paid are greater than received while St.George's is the opposite.

This, i'll never understand. Rather than get pissed at the failed city government that created this mess, they get mad at the people fighting against that city government.
If you're given $20 and you get robbed, do you file charges against the guy that gave you $20?

Maybe they can set up some speed traps in NBR to help offset the $$$ loss from St G....Oh that's right, they only target white people areas.
