Wow, people love to bash!

Friend has had numerous BMW's,90's 3 series sedan, still running, still in good shape. An older X5 bought as CPO (lease trade in, whatever BMW calls it officialy), 10+ yrs of ownership, no major repairs, his wife and kids were hard on it. His personal vehicle is a 2000's 5 series. Yes, the the turbo's have been replaced due to age and wear, car still runs/drives great. His wife currently drives a 2020's X5, great service so far.

His good fortune convinced me to buy. My wife has '22 X5, no issues to date, very happy with it. My mother has '20 X3, again no issues, very reliable.

You can keep saying this, but there is no credible evidence this guy was a member of a gang

He was an illegal alien with approved deportation orders, just not to El Salvador. Why didn't he want to go to El Salvador?

That's right! Because he had known gang affiliations that would make life hard for him in El Salvador.

Europe actually has a lot of oil. Their green/woke policies won't let them frack, so it sits unused underground.

When the Chinese take over, you'll see production.
That's an article from 2019, this is an additional 10,000 troops over the 2019 troops. But you already knew that....

Similarly, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced plans to send troops to the Mexican side of its border with the U.S. While Mexico already had 15,000 troops at the border dating back to commitments it made in 2019, during Donald Trump’s first presidency, Sheinbaum said 10,000 additional troops would be heading to the border.
Several times per year. Fly and drive, depends on where I'm going.

Have zero problems driving several hundred miles for a reliable GS. Have four rifles built by Ray Perry, wish I had him build this when he was still taking work...

Looking for a gunsmith

Nothing too crazy, looking for a Tikka super lite in 30-06, have it reamed to 30-06AI and bed into a Mcmillan Sako Hunter Pattern stock.

Any help?

Thanks!
Blue birds are not actually blue:

“Red and yellow feathers get their color from actual pigments, called carotenoids, that are in the foods birds eat,” Sillett explains. “Blue is different-no bird species can make blue from pigments. The color blue that we see on a bird is created by the way light waves interact with the feathers and their arrangement of protein molecules, called keratin. In other words, blue is a structural color. Different keratin structures reflect light in subtly different ways to produce different shades of what our eyes perceive as the color blue. A blue feather under ultraviolet light might look uniformly gray to human eyes.”

A country in an active war can not join NATO. That's written in the NATO charter.

It was 1400' and needed a lot of work - I was thrilled to have it. I was also thrilled w/ my 8.3% mortgage rate, because it was lower than any rate I had seen as an adult.

re: Chainsaw - chain sharpening

Posted by C9 on 10/22/24 at 7:47 pm to
Besides being relatively easy to do, there's another reason to sharpen your chain. As you sharpen, the tooth gets both shorter in height and shorter in length. The shorter in length the tooth gets the easier it moves through the wood, the faster it cuts. A chain that is properly sharpened and nearly completely worn out will be the fastest cutting chain you ever use.

You also need a flat file and a depth gauge to adjust the raker height.
Cushing's disease? There's medication that helps, no cure....

You can keep saying that over and over and showing that image where a 20 mile shift isn't one pixel - you're wrong. The cone shifted.

You're wrong, cone changed.

No, I'm not. But I also can recognize that the track has shifted what, 20 miles, and the eye of this thing is about 50 miles wide. Maybe more - it's really big. So the computer generated lines are referencing the likely path for the center of the storm, not any sort of projection about the magnitude of the weather events that occur within it.

You do realize the cone isn't one set width right? It widens the further you get from the time of the forecast. I can read a mapt too, and I'm well aware how those cone lines were superimposed on the map. Maybe try pretending you don't think you're the smartest person in the room and you might be able to figure it out.

Are you under the impression that it will only rain and be windy within the computer generated lines superimposed on a map?

Are you under the impression that there is no difference in rain and wind from a hurricane when you're just east of the center of the eye vs being outside the outer western edge of the eye (and probably going to be a good bit further west of it than that)?
