The sooner you realize that ghosts aren’t real, the faster you’ll move on with your life.
That being said; the mind is a tricky thing and I wouldn’t take anything as fact said by people who are just waking up or still half-asleep.

Got to sacrifice a live chicken inside each room to ward off the evil spirits. Make sure to get the blood on the walls.

The demonic is real. Call your parish priest and/or the Archdiocese to consult about an exorcism.
In the meantime, obtain some holy water and sprinkle liberally, and burn some blessed candles. Place crucifixes on the walls on the bedrooms, and pray the Rosary.
