Is it really terrestrial interference (not obvious blockage like trees or parking garages), or have they gone cheap on their satellite transmission signal?
there was a thread a while back that blamed the issue on cell phone towers. Terrestrial interference should not be huge problem as it never really was before recently.

I think most major cities have terrestrial repeaters that help with big buildings, overpasses, etc... blocking the signal. Wouldn't surprise me if BR was big enough to have plenty of places with a blocked signal but small enough for SXM to not bother with a repeater network.
Deadspots for me are oddly specific. Westbound on Laurel by the Chase building, Westbound on North by the IBM building.
Also, in a completely unrelated note: Since LSU is renaming a bunch of streets, the city of BR should get on board and rename one of the "North" streets downtown. It may have made sense in 1865 to have "North BLVD" mark the Northern edge of Beauregard town, and "North ST" mark the Northern edge of downtown - but it just results in a lost visitors walking around now. My vote would be to rename North Blvd, since it's the most Southern of the two "Norths" downtown.

For instance, Outlaw Country drops out no matter where I am. The Bridge, First Wave and Lithium never drop out no matter where I am.
Same thing here in Alexandria. This just started recently in the last couple of months. There are several dead spots all along MacArthur drive.

Seems like legit dead spots to me. As someone mentioned it is probably new phone towers causing the issue. I know AT&T has put up new towers recently and that is probably the cause of the problem. Once I get out of town or away from the main drag, the dead spots go away.

It's been happening a lot in Lafayette area. I cut off my service.
I've noticed it on Congress at near Cajun Field. And in one long stretch on 190 in Opelousas.

You are not alone....YUUUUUGE dead spot in Downtown Prairieville also.
I use all these "dead spots" to my advantage every 6 months if Sirus balks at wanting to extend my 6 months for $35 deal I get every year.

I called Sirius friday about this and they reset my signal. Took maybe 5 mins and it's gotten a lot better. Still have some drops but not as bad as it was.

Ton of dead spots in Lafayette too. Especially Turbo, Lithium seems to cut out less.
Been having the same issue. Good to know there's nothing wrong with my radio
Edit: I listen to Turbo the majority of the time

Which strip mall is considered downtown Prairieville?

Airline and Old Perkins in Prairieville. Airline near Coursey. Makes no sense.

Am I the only one experiencing "dead spots" while listening to Sirius XM in BR ?
Others have said that it's due to interference from cellular signals.

I did too. Way too annoying for a paid service.
