Sorry if this has been addressed: Am I the only one experiencing "dead spots" while listening to Sirius XM in BR ?

Siegen Lane around I-10 and Airline Hwy around Sherwood Common, plus a few spots on I-10 itself. Radio just goes "dead" for 5-15 seconds.

I assume it's due to interference from from microwave towers or from radio transmission towers.

Ton of dead spots in Lafayette too. Especially Turbo, Lithium seems to cut out less.

Same thing here in Alexandria. This just started recently in the last couple of months. There are several dead spots all along MacArthur drive.

No you're not, mine does that too. It infuriates me to no to end...

I'm driving along and not a cloud in the freaking sky and all of a sudden it just cuts out, channel 84 goes in and out quite a bit

You are correct. If there are large enough transmission lines around, it cuts out. Or if trees block the SW, it will also cut out.

I'm used to that. The dead spots I'm talking about have nothing to do with vegetation, overpasses, etc.

Lots of dead spots where I am from, especially with sports talk radio, finance channels and Stern. Not as much with music channels.

Service was great when I first used satellite around 07-08. Now service is really spotty.

Is it really terrestrial interference (not obvious blockage like trees or parking garages), or have they gone cheap on their satellite transmission signal?
