Not being mean, but explain to me why taxpayers across the country should pay billions for a 50 year old project in the 133th largest metro area in the country to improve a highway to save a few people maybe, hopefully 5-7 minutes going through the area. Its not like congestion is stifling the region, although I get the annoyance. It would be different if the Lafayette region and the State of Louisiana could contribute significantly, but the state is apparently broke. I'm all for investing in local infrastructure, but this seems like it should be far down the line of statewide priorities

Interstate highways are not about "local" traffic

If there were men's college soccer scholarships available at every college in the country you can bet your butt there would be more boys pursuing that opportunity.

So yeah, Title 9 is holding men's soccer back. Look what those college opportunities have done for USA women's soccer.

This. Better U.S. athletes would pursue soccer to get college scholarships vs totally gravitating to other sports

But LA is def coming out of the post-JBE slump and it’s been win after win on the economic development front.

Louisiana didn’t have shite for economic development during those 8 years

I didn't see the Yoo Hoo soft drink company listed. Years ago, I dropped down to Holly Beach to see the LA coast and discovered the source of Yoo Hoo. Figured the bottling company would be in Lake Charles

Muddy water joke

There was actually a Yoohoo plant in Opelousas, LA for many years but it closed about 15 years ago. It was 1 of their 2 plants in the U.S. They consolidated with it with a plant in New Jersey

90/10 ground beef chub. You have to knock on the window and ask the butchers for it but they should have it.

Interesting. How much is this a pound?
I normally buy their 85/15 grass fed grass finished beef but would prefer 90/10

They used to sell ground bison and 93/7 beef at my location but now only have the 85/15 grass fed and also 75/25 wagyu .

Can you give us some context? I have no clue what weather event you are referring to, or what particular weathermen or station? Quite low information post? I know all about the 20-30 inches of rain.

Saturday night into Sunday morning was not supposed to rain around Lafayette but instead we got flash flood alerts all night and around 6" of rain

Likewise- Who would buy a 12.5 million dollar home in Lafayette?

Have a Hume pod. It’s not worth it, not accurate

I just got an InBody H40 and it’s definitely not worth it . Body fat readings are all over the place day to day

Hopefully I can return it

They have kids at a much higher rate. It's all planned to takeover western countries.

The fricked up part is that most of them live off the tax payers (welfare) of the western countries that they are trying to outbreed while the tax payers are too busy working to have enough kids

Never had an issue with that. Only thing is almost tripping on the front of it after exiting the last rep

Deadlifting with Barbell vs Hex Bar

I’ll just add that bent over rows with a hex bar are significantly better (for me) than barbell bent over rows . Neutral grip plus less lower back strain makes a big difference
