I think that would be the biggest argument against it. From a distance most folks in the stadium can't really see him, and even being parked outside the visitor locker room, is it really that intimidating?
I know that Auburn's eagles are governed by licences issued by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. As part of the agreement that allows Auburn to house the eagles, they must be used to promote conservation and for education about eagles. The pregame flights are considered as educational events in conjunction with the USFWS license. If you've ever gone to a zoo where they have free flight raptor shows, it is the same thing. The shows are considered part of the educational program component of the USFWS license to house and display the raptors.

I started with Mike III in 1966.
I am convinced the stadium was fun for most of the tigers except for one of the recent ones who wouldn't get into the cage without prodding (and even gentle prodding is now considered cruel and unusual punishment).
And we are better off without that idiot who left because Landry wanted to bring a tiger back into the stadium.

I also started with Mike III, my understanding is the problems with Mike VI began with the introduction of fireworks.

I don't think tiger's should be caged up. Same with sharks and whales.

Once the stadium got video screens there was always a camera that followed the lap around the stadium and showed Mike on the screen. Everyone inside could see right inside the case (on the screen)

I supposed what is or is not intimidating depends on the individual. But I'm talked to several people who played against LSU at TS over the years and when you ask them about the experience running past the tiger is something most bring up. Some, who played in the days before the internet, cable tv, and widespread sports coverage weren't aware the tiger would be there and it surprised and briefly scared the hell out of them.
It may not be more or less intimidating than an eagle flying around the stadium, or buffalo charging on to the field, or a razorback being driven around the stadium. But it was a long time tradition and something unique to LSU that stopped because LSU capitulated to sensitive humans.

Correct. NOTHING could coax him out of his habitat and into that trailer. The only option would have been to anesthetize him and put him in the trailer, and that would have been too stressful for Mike.

Some act like the tiger would be being plucked from a serene quite jungle on gameday and thrust in front of a cheering crowd. Nothing could be further from the truth. He's encountering thousands of people and noise ALL DAY on gameday.
Perhaps the tiger feels more at ease in the sanctuary, i.e., it's 15,000 square foot home that costs $3 million furnished with a pool, green grass and live vegetation

I guess that makes it better if there’s a camera showing Mike. Back in the day all anyone could see was a cage with a tiger silhouette.

No. We are lucky to have Mike in this day and age. Allow him to have his great habitat and exceptional care. There’s no need to bring him to the stadium this just further pisses off the PETA types. Our governor while he has done a few good things the Omar thing was sad

1979' ish, LSU vs S, California, Mike was parked in his normal spot pre game, right in front of the visiting team's gate to the stadium. The LSU cheerleaders all gathered on one side of his cage, forcing all the Trojans to funnel almost as a group into the stadium. Mike was goosed, he went nuts in this cage, his roars heard throughout the stadium, he was bouncing all around in his cage. According to the Trojan's All American LT post game, " a lot of our team had never seen a live tiger before. They were freezing up, scared to death, " & the cheerleaders kept Mike in that spot longer than usual. Refs had to go to the Trojan players & threatened them with a delay of game penalty to start the game. Same player, " this place makes playing at N.Dame seem like Romper Room".
