I'll take Mike back in the stadium if it means getting rid of fireworks, obnoxious in-stadium ads, piped-in music, and all of the other unnecessary shite that has been brought in and effectively suffocated Tiger Stadium from being a great venue because the atmosphere that the fans and band once created are no longer allowed to breathe.

All these animals have something very blatantly obvious in common. They are NOT tigers! These mascots do not have to be kept in a metal cage to prevent them from mauling their handlers or others who happen to be around them. The logistics of bringing a tiger into the stadium are a bit more tedious than hooking up a leash to a dog, buffalo, steer, or pig and walking them in through the gate and onto the field.
I loved seeing Mike IV and Mike V on the field before a game and positioned right next to the visiting locker room, but Mike VI didn't like it, and Mike VII hasn't even been considered for a stadium appearance. There were most certainly times that Mike IV and V didn't feel like getting into their trailer and had to be coaxed, cajoled, and bribed into it - sometimes over the course of a couple hours.
While I'd dearly love to see Mike in the stadium again, I don't think it's necessary, or even desirable, to force an apex predator into an extremely confined space to be towed into a raucous environment.

I would love to see the tradition return, but no, the school shouldn’t bring Mike back into the stadium. Times have changed and the negatives would outweigh the positives.
To keep the tradition alive, however, I’d love to see someone convert the old trailer and make the area where Mike would be into a digital screen on 3 or 4 sides. Have a video of Mike walking. Maybe do this for the first game each year as if you did it each game, it would just be corny. But it would be a cool way to keep the spirit of the tradition for the new times.

I didn’t understand why the old approach was bad.
The last one didn’t like it. The one before him did.
But they had it as policy for at least 2 decades that they just open it up to the trailer and let the tiger decide. No coaxing, no food or treats. Just an open door.

Hell no if they are going to do the retarded half arse shite they did in 2024, where you ship in a drugged up tiger and blast it with a spotlight for 30 seconds. Also, Piper Hutchinson clearly has some sort of vendetta against LSU. I imagine Bob Mann taught her well.

The tigers used to be taken to out of town games. But today we can't even take Mike across the street because someone is afraid it might hurt his feelings. Start feeding that pampered feline in his trailer and he will gladly enter it. And all the down voters need to make sure their PETA memberships are as current as those with NAMBLA.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t really give a shite. I have so many other things to think about, but even in regards to LSU athletic this would be so far down on my list of priorities.

When Mike was set free out of his small enclosure by Tulane fans, decades ago, he roamed around campus and attacked NOBODY.
