Can't wait for AI to learn how to speak cat and can translate Mike. He'll say that he's pissed that he hasn't been given a shot at going inside the stadium he looks at every day.

LSU is not the only school that brought a live mascot on to the field. FAR from it. There are dogs, eagles, buffaloes, horses, pigs, etc. Yet, because of pussy administrators and (evidently by many of the responses to this topic) pussy fans, LSU can't maintain a tradition it had for decades.

Just spitballing here, but go back over a century when hippo farming was considered and Louisiana was where it was going to be done. Screw that Colorado mascot, but running one of these bad boy up and down the field would be awesome!

I'm a little torn on it. Mike was always in the stadium when I was a student, and it was awesome when he was mic'd up and would roar, but if not brining him to games makes it more palatable for people to not put up a stink about him still remaining on campus, I'm okay with it. Mike on campus is more important to me than Mike at the game.
Fun fact: did you know Mike V loved catnip (I think it was V. could have been VI)? I guess it makes sense cat nip can affect tigers the same as house cats, but I watched a friend blow catnip bubbles into his cage one day and that big fella turned into a doped-up purring kitten popping those bubbles.

Getting rid of this tradition is dumb. And don't tell me the tiger is forever traumatized by being in the trailer a few times a year for the home games.

Is he any less domesticated than an eagle, buffalo, or boar in this context?
It's not like some coonasses went to India and trapped a wild tiger. He's for all intents and purposes a pet. A unique pet. But a pet nonetheless. Mike doesn't know a life outside of captivity.
