re: LSU Women's Golfers started the Championship Today
Posted by Beef Supreme on 5/22/26 at 4:34 pm to WacoTiger
It would be nice to add that trophy.
We're one of only a handful of teams that have qualified for the national champiopship the last 5 or 6 years. We're due!
Eta: also LSU golf swag has the best looking stuff on campus.

The OP thinks this is a gotcha but this is an incredibly misinformed post.
1. Over 130 members of congress have signed this exact pledge. But Massie was "revolutionary really". Here's who all have signed it in our current congress: LINK again, revolutionary, really.
2. The pledge says right there that he pledged to CO-SPONSOR the bill. Why is he being singled out for not doing more than he pledged? If 130 people pledge to sponsor a bill do you know what they're called?
3. No where in that pledge is there any promise to leave congress if term limits dont go into law. Why pretend like he made that promise?
If you really had shite against him you wouldnt have to make bullshite up.

I will say that Massie losing was clearly his own doing. No one worked harder to get him out of office than Thomas Massie. He simply stopped trying to do his job and represent his constituents and work within the framework of our political system to push his ideas and agendas forward. He chose to go on a self-destructive mission, that often times looked to be driven more by personal qualms than any sort of principles.

Sure you did.

This link does not include Aipac since its not registered as a foreign lobby. That is the argument. That they have special permission.
You can search registrants on that link and Aipac comes back as no results found.

re: Prayers for former tiger Josh Smith
Posted by Beef Supreme on 5/17/26 at 9:08 pm to Tiger fan999
This sucks bad for him. The Rangers traded away Marcus Semien this year to open a spot for Smith to become their full time second baseman. He's been a utility player for them for the last 4 seasons and now he finally found his home. Started the year ice cold but hit .350 over his last 7 games before getting injured. His backup, Ezequiel Duran, is currently having his best start of his career hitting .270

And people who only think its paying more at the pump are naive. It affects everything. Everything goes up.

It would be cool to not have to sacrifice dollars at the pump AND our boys at the front not have to sacrifice anything at all. But that will get downvoted no doubt.

This guy isnt near as popular as the promoters, media, Nashville, etc says he is. Dude fricking sucks and they pushed him every chance they could get. Country music is not former rappers with face tats singing cheesy arse ballads with auto tune.

Lol no it is not.
GDP grew 0.5% in the 4Q of last year. Thats the worst 4Q in 14 years.
Unemployment is currently at its highest mark since Covid and well higher than it was pre-covid.
Housing sales remain at 30 year lows.
Inflation is back with a vengeance. We are printing money again. Or as we now call it "buying back debt".

The best way to get someone to do something they dont want to do is to convince them its their idea.

Trump 1.0 is the best in my lifetime but 2.0 is still better than others we've had.
Both the OP's post and the fact that he's been better than all other presidents can be true. The bar was low and he has done a fantastic job of showing us how low that bar really was. But that doesnt mean he gets a pass on everything. It is OK to expect more from politicians you support even if the alternative would be worse.
re: The US has carried out military operations in Iran for 38 days. How many servicemen dead?
Posted by Beef Supreme on 4/7/26 at 12:11 am to TigerDenWest
All of the lives lost mentioned are tragic and avoidable. The 13 in this conflict, the 13 Biden lost in Afghanistan, the ones lost in training excersizes, and the 40+ in Chicago. Somewhere a kid is suddenly without a parent, or a parent without their child, a spouse is suddenly alone... and they're all wondering why. The fact that there are more deaths somewhere else does not lessen the tragedy of any death.

Big box houses that are built to the absolute limits so there’s the minimum required set backs. Looks so shitty.
Often times this results out of necessity due to property values.
In BR, land in desirable areas is so expensive that the neighborhood gets divided into smaller lots to try and keep costs down as much as they can but you still end up with lots less than half an acre for a quarter million dollars.
What happens for whoever builds on that lot is that they have to build at a higher square footage to absorb that cost so that the house will appraise.
