Trump 2.0 is the best president in my life time and it’s not close at all

Trump 1.0 is the best in my lifetime but 2.0 is still better than others we've had.

Both the OP's post and the fact that he's been better than all other presidents can be true. The bar was low and he has done a fantastic job of showing us how low that bar really was. But that doesnt mean he gets a pass on everything. It is OK to expect more from politicians you support even if the alternative would be worse.
All of the lives lost mentioned are tragic and avoidable. The 13 in this conflict, the 13 Biden lost in Afghanistan, the ones lost in training excersizes, and the 40+ in Chicago. Somewhere a kid is suddenly without a parent, or a parent without their child, a spouse is suddenly alone... and they're all wondering why. The fact that there are more deaths somewhere else does not lessen the tragedy of any death.

Big box houses that are built to the absolute limits so there’s the minimum required set backs. Looks so shitty.

Often times this results out of necessity due to property values.

In BR, land in desirable areas is so expensive that the neighborhood gets divided into smaller lots to try and keep costs down as much as they can but you still end up with lots less than half an acre for a quarter million dollars.

What happens for whoever builds on that lot is that they have to build at a higher square footage to absorb that cost so that the house will appraise.

Can you post some examples who are unfamiliar with that area?

Really any acadian style home....

And then especially A Hays Town homes or those inspired by him. He was a famous architect from Baton Rouge...

This is a great book to check out if interested in the classic style down here:

I always wonder if this is just laziness because the recent floor plans are available to purchase or something..,

No its local architects and designers here trying to out do each other and going more and more modern for Instagram clicks.
From a purely aesthetic standpoint, here in South Louisiana I absolutely hate the trend towards ultra modern looking homes. I think we have a beautiful timeless style unique to our area here and a lot of architects and builders are just doing trendy shite. All white houses with black windows, Tudor inspired design... yuck.

It was to the left of Drusilla seafood. Not sure whats there now. But it wasnt as long ago as some of the other stores mentioned.

Does anyone remember when Drusilla Seafood used to run a seafood market out of the space next to it?

Hoppers was great. The family dollar used to be an Eckerd's. Party Paradise lasted for a long time.

But man I miss fast track. About 10 or so years ago there was still 1 fast track operating in a gas station outside of the motiva plant in Convent. I took a special trip when I found out about it and the burger and fries were the same as I remember them.

Oh, ok.

I think we're on the cusp of beating the general nickname into corny territory

To me its "The Brigade" thing. Last week they had like 3 tweets in an hour mentioning "The Brigade". They are really trying hard to make that happen.

I've seen this movie before. Next up is hiring from within and all of their fans saying how much better the new coach is.
Everyone remembers Wade's outstanding press conference after LSU's NIT win over ULL in 2017 but I had to go back and watch what lead up to it.

Wade called a timeout with 12 seconds left, up 9, and yelled to ULL's coach and bench "ENJOY THIS!" (As he said in the press conference after). Cant wait to have this fire back on the sidelines.

Bonus, I backed up the clip to show Wayde Simms' last time checking in at the PMAC. RIP.

Lemme get 5 for the fam, me.

Incredible.

it’s about the positive impact KM has had at LSU in many areas

OK ok i'll bring it down and respond seriously.

She took a program no one cared about and put asses in the seats. I've heard people I know talking about women's basketball that I've never heard talking about it before. She 100% moved the needle big time in a positive direction. All true.

What is also true is that all of those people I would imagine were already LSU fans. I am simply pointing out that nationally it is a sport that very few watch so the idea that enough out of state students would watch the publicity our women's basketball team got and make their decisions on that - despite the pub our football team already gets, is laughable. Its something you have to tell yourself to cope with the fact that it is a sinkhole for money.

The difference in profit and losses these days is all about the TV contracts. Football is king, men's basketball is #2. NIL is making the cost of both go up. Eventually we will hit a spending limit. It is only good business to invest in the sports we get a return on, and putting the men's team on TV in March will return way more than the women's team winning the natty. Thats just a simple fact.
quote:

How much money was brought into LSU via donations from fans and alumni after KM won the natty. How many out of state students came to the school because of the national pub we got during that championship run.You couldn’t afford that kind of publicity.Small minded people think small minded things.Every body gasped when ALABAMA paid NS over 9 mil a year but he brought in 100s of millions through his success. I don’t know the numbers but believe me KMs NC has baught LSU much more money than you think.

fricking lol.

Women's basketball- which loses money due to the fact that its tv deal isnt valuable (which isn't valuable due to lack of viewers) is a comparable investment to the one Bama made with Saban who coached in the sport that so many people watch it props up the entire athletic program. Makes sense.

So many people watched the women's basketball natty and decided to come to LSU because of it! We cant afford that publicity! Lol. Jesus Christ.

The people who actually know the numbers are about to show you how affordable it was.

What’s wrong with giving Kim Mulkey a huge contract?

Its the single biggest money pit sport at LSU. Loses money to the tune of $8m/year.
I often wonder what all historical "facts" we learned growing up, or famous points in our nation's history were absolute bullshite bc no one was online to research the validity of it. No cell phone cameras were around to capture everything.

unless I'm missing something

You are. Its players can be paid in the open now. Had it been legal then he wouldnt have had to hide.

The better question is how many were fired & returned?

Just because its never been done doesn't mean that it can't or shouldn't be done.

We can play this game both ways. How many coaches weren't under investigation, got caught up in an fbi wiretap that was unrelated to them, it got leaked to the media who went on a multi-year smear campaign, didnt discuss the case as advised by his attorneys, lost his job, and ultimately he nor the school received any penalties AND what he was fired for became legal just over a year later?

LSU had the perfect opportunity to hire Wade last week, but didn’t. The longer this drags out, the more it feels like LSU will screw up this hire.

Calm down.
