My premium. $5,200 yr
My deductible $7,500 yr
Average dr visit. $ 214 out of pocket for a check up
So I have to spend $12,700 before I get any benefit at all
Thanks Obama

The whole thing was a lie, from A to Z... Obama's signature WIN in 8 years, only to be thrown out under Trump... Good riddance!

My premium is around $2,500 per year with a $5,000 deductible.
I avoid going to the doctor unless I am dying so I don't know how much a visit would cost me.

Lose my heath insurance in a month unless my job decides to start giving it. No way in hell my young healthy straight out of college arse is going to pay more than rent for health insurance I won't use.

My employer pays 100% of my HSA plan premium. It's a $2500 deductible plan and I put $100 a paycheck in to cover the deductible.

Single
$1044 + HSA contributions (company puts in $800 annually)
$2700 Deductible.
Never go to the doctor. I went to the urgent care recently and they told me it was starting at $160 for a sinus infection. Told them I'm not $160 sick and went to Walgreens.

$6,500 premium for family, $3,000 deductible.
90% coverage in-network and 100% coverage for first-choice providers.
Working for the state equals low pay, but damn good benefits.

Employee only health coverage:
$114/Month
$1,000 Deductible
$25 Office visit
80% Major/Hospitalization
Drugs
$20 co-pay after
$150 deductible
I'm at a large bank and they have absorbed most of the added costs of ObamaCare.

Honestly it sounds like your employer needs to shop around with a new benefits broker. You may blame Obama for this, but not before you ask your HR director why the frick your options are so terrible, because they don't have to be.

Mine is so much cheaper and better than yours I would feel bad even posting it. I work for a great company who is self insured and offers incredible benefits.
That may change in the future but it wouldn't be because of Obama it would be because the population got more expensive to cover. The cause of that could be just a handful of employees too who bring in a ton of expensive claims payments. So don't blame Obama blame your unhealthy coworkers if your company is self insured.
