I have an HSA Plan

$4784/year Premiums for Employee + Family
My employer pays almost twice as much as the employee

$2500 Deductible - 80% after until Max Out of Pocket of $4500 then 100% covered.

All wellness covered 100%
Wellness exams are MANDATORY yearly or your premiums double!

Employer contributes $750/year to HSA as a match.

Premium= $1,200
Deductiable= $ 2,500

70% of Allowable Amount after Calendar Year Deductible
50% coverage out of network.

Out of pocket max, includes deductiable= $6,200

This is my insurance. My wife has her own policy to cover herself.

Don't remember my details exactly, but for a plan covering only myself through work my premium actually dropped a total of $12 from last year.

Now I'm paying about $144 a month. Not complaining, but still, frick Obamacare.

Believe it or not but before Obamacare happened my monthy premium for my insurance policy (single) was zero. I had a 5,000 deductiable though. I did not use my health insurance any and I paid nothing for 5 years. After Obamacare, my company scrapped my policy, and my yearly premium increased from $0.00 to $1,200. $100 a month increase. Still pretty good compared to some. But damn, I had it made for awhile.

I still feel like it's a shite ton

The funny thing is though is that I was on a marketplace plan when I had a two month window in between jobs and my work insurance won't kick in until the new year.

I got the update from BCBS that the plan I had temporarily was going to increase like $200 if I kept it in 2017

Our individual policy has quadrupled since Obamacare was enacted. Deductible has gone up by nearly as much.

I'm not a Trump fan, but if he lowers the corporate tax rate and gets rid of this Obamacare bullshite, he might be the greatest president since Reagan.

Dude, I had to change policies in May because they were trying to bump me from $318 to $488. Reduced coverage and settled on a $380 plan. Now they are trying to bump me to $512 starting Jan 1. Have to reduce coverage again to stay in the $350 range. I'm 31 years old. In shape. Don't do anything crazy. Don't ever go to the doctor. It's insane

The part that pisses me off the most is that they send you a letter saying "if you don't respond to this, we are going to increase your monthly payment to $518/month." No emails. No phone calls. A fricking letter.

$300/month for family
$30 copay

Not sure on deductible. I think $500.

Alabama teacher health insurance. Not as cheap as it used to be but it's still good.

Some of the family deductibles/premiums I've seen on th market and in here are just ridiculous. I pay $65 per biweekly pay period and have a 3200 deductible, which went up from 2000 this year.

Our premium was going to go from $2,200/yr to $5,300/yr if we stayed with the same ins provider. We switched to Kaiser and kept the premium the same. We don't really like Kaiser here but we weren't spending over $3k for nothing received. Deductible on both providers is $0 with the plans we choose and pay extra for plus she works for a Fortune 500 company. A 250% increase is ridiculous. I called the state insurance commissioner's office and was told they had to do that to stay in business. Apparently Kaiser runs theirs better. Trump better do something about this shite.

2014-- family of 4 was $415 per month $10000 family deductible

2015-- $869 and $12000 family deductible

2016. $1275 and $13000 family deductible

2017--- premiums skyrocketed to $1630 per month with a $13700 family deductible
But fortunately I found a group plan to stay at basically the same as 2016

Glad that idiot is gone and we didn't elect his 2nd coming!!!!!!!

can someone explain to me what the benefits of using an HSA vs. just saving up money is. I'm new to this whole adult game but its my understanding that HSA is a use it or lose it fund. So why not stick the money I would put in there into a savings account instead. that way I don't lose it at the end of the year.

One thing is for sure, the cats out of the bag and it will never be the same, Insurance Companies can do whatever they want now.

I've been in need of back surgery since Oct 25th due to an accident but am waiting until January so I only have to meet one deductible. Fricking Obama screwed this up good.
