Senator defends push for parish-wide vote on St. George: 'It's merely democracy'

This may be the straw that breaks the camels back for me if they pull this stunt. I’m willing to stay and give St George a chance. I want to stay, but I’m at my tipping point right now with the traffic nightmare. It might just be time for my wife and I to pack our shite and leave LA for good.

St George is pretty much your friend with benefits saying they now want a boyfriend.
How can she imply an unincorporated part of the parish wanting to incorporate is somehow seceding?
Are they seceding from EBR Parish, no. City of Baton Rouge, no. State of Louisiana, no. USA, no.
There is no Together Baton Rouge, there is only the fear of missing out on 2/3 of their tax dollars.
I missed being in St George by one major street. Might be time to move!

1) I love how the people she knows argue over financed furniture when they get divorced.

I feel so sorry for the good people of Southeast BR. I grew up in Shenandoah, went to Shenandoah Elementary, Sherwood Middle, Parkview, and Woodlawn High School. I hate to say it, but I would never live in that parish again. Not saying St. tammany is that much better, but the race baiting that has taken place regarding the formation of St. George is despicable. You have city leaders that don't even know the laws. It would be like me practicing medicine without having any knowledge of medical terms or having any medical training. Sad times for my hometown. Hopefully St. George can happen and they can start fresh.
