The “majority” in EBR has never paid for anything.

Gotta keep wyppio around to subsidize the “majority.”

Not to mention they had to take out loans to get furniture.

Maybe that’s why they are broke? No money management skills

She uses the term "secession" because she believes it has racial undertones. A dog whistle, if you will.

Man this pushback is making my voting decision a lot easier. I hadn't really made up my mind but they're making it for me.

If this shite happens and it is a parish-wide vote, count me as someone not in St. George that will be voting in favor.

Scumbag Mary Olive Pearson helping dumbass Democrats finish off East Baton Rouge parish.
If it’s only democracy, then why did these two counts draft a bill that only applies to a single parish???

Despite the fact that the st. George area would have to first belong to the city to secede from it.

These are extremely low IQ individuals

I honestly can't tell if she's legit this dumb or just thinks the majority of her constituents are too dumb to realize she's full of shite.

A better analogy would be George wants to get married. His parents(BR Gov) believe his siblings (BR, Central, Baker) should Have to approve of it.

Correct. I guess the next thing we will here will be about how the racist whites are stealing 30 million from the people of the city of Baton Rouge.

Nevermind, when they say that, it will prove EXACTLY why St. George wants to leave, but they are too stupid to understand that.

State Sen. Yvonne Colomb said Friday backers of making unincorporated St. George a city are "secessionists" and allowing the entire parish to decide the issue is a fair approach.

"It's merely democracy," the Baton Rouge Democrat said in a statement.

"Without the protection offered by my bill it's like one member of a marriage deciding that they deserve all of the good furniture but want to leave behind the loans," the Baton Rouge Democrat said in a statement.

"That's won't work in divorce court and it shouldn't work for city secessionists," Colomb said.

"I suppose there are those who want to think this bill is controversial, but it's merely forcing the minority to ask for permission before grabbing what the majority paid for," Colomb said.

"If they get our permission it won't be grabbing," she said. "So where's the controversy."

I think this is the perfect time for this gif.

She is a reflection of her constituents and they are dumber than shite. Even when it comes to protecting their own long-term best interests.

The fact that this sentence is there at all is ridiculous hahaha.

St. George paid for what St. George wants to incorporate and more.
