Southern MS and LA are getting rain this weekend. How much will be location dependent but since we are in October, probably a good time to get the seed out. Who knows when it will rain again. I rolled the dice and did mine a few weeks ago. Luckily got rain about a week later. Need more though. Putting out nitrogen Friday before the rain gets here.

We finally got 1.8 inches of rain Monday night. Going to check the status on Saturday. Glad to finally get rain though
Update: Day 9 after planting without a drop of rain with highs hovering around 95-100 degrees. I’m likely cooked. It is what it is.

Mountain Man series if you like zombie apocalypse themes. I’ve listened to the entire series 3 times over the years. Start with the prequel. I think it’s up to 8 or 9 books.

We are planting tomorrow in South MS. Only weekend we could do it. Did it around this time last year and it grew just fine.

The NCAA has allowed, for years now, players to participate in NFL tryouts and return to their college team, AS LONG AS THEY HAD ELIGIBILITY REMAINING. The catch 22, and what is being argued by the Kentucky lawyer, is that the player in question on the Kentucky team DOES have court ordered eligibility. The NCAA is arguing the minicamp makes the player ineligible bc the player did not have eligibility at the time he entered the minicamp. It’s a convoluted, semantical mess.

The irony is that the 2022 guys who never pursued the NFL aren’t the issue. The guys getting punished are the ones who were told their college eligibility was over, tried to continue their football careers professionally, got cut, and then learned that the courts are giving them the fifth year they should have had all along. Apparently they would’ve been better off sitting at home all summer. Makes perfect sense.

Anyone got an old mountain bike they wanna sell? Need one to get to my hunting stand and back.
We are the same age, I was also a junior although I didn’t get to go to that UF game. This year I find myself listening to every podcast I can find, so yea I freaking pumped. Back when I was a crazed 20-something year old, I’d say I was more “excited” only bc I was full of piss and vinegar, years I remember being stoked: 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011. This is definitely up there though.
