You are absolutely correct.
And they would be absolutely wrong based on everything taught in concealed carry classes and officer training. But liberals only care about the life of the bad guys, not the good guys, so....

My favorite kind of robbery videos.
But watching the report they said "the robber didn't even have a gun" as if people are supposed to know that at the time. Anyone who appears they are holding a real gun, uses it to threaten people to pull off a robbery, despite it not being a real gun, the perception at the time is that it is a real gun. If that wasn't the case, people wouldn't be acting as if that person did have a gun so it should be mentioned as an irrelevant part of the story.. Like "Robber with gun robbed the store. While everyone complied to his demands, a customer saw a quick opportunity to take him out so that he wouldn't injury innocent bystanders. It was learned after the fact that the robber used a fake gun in order to scare people into obeying to his commands which resulted in him being shot"

I don’t blame the customer for doing what he did
Shooter was absolutely in the right. He saved everyone in that restaurant from a clear and present danger of being murdered by the armed robber.

He may have been leaving, but he still had his weapon trained on an innocent. the fact that the gun was fake is irrelevant.
How many times have you seen robbery videos or read about them in the news where the robber waits until they get the money from the victims and then decide to shoot up the victims/place as they are leaving the scene? It happens all the fricking time.
So the whole "he was leaving" angle can eat a dick. He was aiming at the customer by the door when he was shot by an American frickin Hero.

Hopefully the shooter shut the frick up and lawyered up.

Right, you don't know what's going through their mind. You can't predict irrational. He might be worried about getting caught and thinks he notices someone doing something that could make it easier to find out who he is. So frick em.
I wonder what was the value of the items he robbed to get.

Go to Mexican Restaurants that call themselves restaurants, not taquerias.

Everyone is skipping over the best part:
The restaurant:

This happened just before 11:30 p.m
quote:
The restaurant said they will reopen around 7 a.m.

Not true. He clearly still is posing a threat to people in the restaurant, whether he's coming or going. The gun is out and aimed.
Okay chief. When he finds himself in the defense chair, this will make him feel better.

Completely wrong. Whether it's real or not does not matter legally. Unless the DA can prove beyond a reasonable doubt to a jury that the shooter was absolutely positive that the gun was fake.
This is true. However, he better hope he does not find himself in the defense chair.
Trials are risky AF.
I'm not taking the perps side and I am pro self defense. Y'all need to chill. lmaoo.

That’s some serious spin from the author. Walking generally towards where it’s possible to exit the restaurant is not leaving by any means.

That was like trying to rob Salamanca's Taquiera from Breaking Bad.

I love stories with a happy ending. Hopefully the bald shooter is a member of USCCA.

If the robber would have pointed it at the police, what would have happened? He would have been shot and killed.
Case closed!
