They made an entire episode this season about building the business and how worthless employees are.

Servers make bank in good restaurant and hourly salary would be less for many. Even the chains we hate such as chilis, Texas Road House, with high turnover at tables work well.

They were making between $13 - $15 an hour with tips before. Why wouldn’t they complain about making less money?

I was in San Diego and they are getting paid $15/hr + tips and still couldn’t get enough wait staff to work.

Because now the owners of the restaurant are taking on 100% of the risk.
If a guaranteed $30/hr is not enough to motivate one to work hard, then that is not the type of person they want to employ.

The article fails to mention that after the restaurant opened, Managment determined that patrons were not tipping. That was a major factor in the wage hike and policy shift.

I know I made damn good money moonlighting at Jones Creek Cafe when I was stationed in BR. Serving was fun as shite there so long as I was on the bar side.

So you could make almost 75k a year working 8 hour shift 6 days a week as a waitress and they’re complaining?

An attractive girl or dude with good service at a good restaurant can bag way more than that.

They're complaining because they have to pay taxes on that 30/hr. Those tards love that non-taxed cash tips.
I pay taxes and they can as well. So I never leave a cash tip.

Are servers and bartenders supposed to make "a lot"?
Looked it up, and $30/hr is about the median range in Colorado. Is that unfair to pay order takers the state median wage?

Oh you mean the owners who are each worth hundreds of millions of dollars from making a crude cartoon? Gee I feel so sorry for them taking all that risk.

reading the article, it sounds like they were making more before tipping was banned so i'm not sure why they're supposed to be happy about it

On good nights they all make way more than $30 an hour. You’re not going to entice good bartenders and servers to work for your restaurant by handcuffing them to a set wage that’s well below their value.

Haaaaaaa
How much value is really in taking an order, bringing food, and/or serving a drink?

Those who take the greatest risk should be rewarded for without those risk-takers, there would be no one to employ those looking for employment.
How many self employed/ owners of businesses are there versus those looking for jobs as they have no means or desires to take the risks needed to employ others.
You can’t have it both ways.
