That’s dumb.

Over the course of the week, I would average over $30 an hour when I was bartending. Why would I want to take a pay cut?

How much value is really in taking an order, bringing food, and/or serving a drink?

Apparently over $30 an hour.

Sorry you still work, loser. I retired in my 40s.

As Connor in Succession said, "I'm cracking the nut of happiness like a modern day Thoreau."

Then feel free to go somewhere else.

$30/hr is good money for relatively unskilled labor.

Man, some of you guys really hate the free market.

The four years I spent bartending/managing the bar at a restaurant in college taught me exponentially more than the four years of classes attending college.

As a waiter at a decently nice place I would walk with hundreds in CASH after a 5 hour shift. It was like making 50 bucks an hour tax free.

They will. The hospitality industry is super transient.

Like a typically liberal, you’re so arrogant that you feel that you get to determine value instead of the market. You also clearly never worked in the industry. Good luck getting your best servers to give up their Fridays and Saturdays if the can make the same money on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Bitches showing their buttholes to strangers on onlyfans make that in a month.

Hell, I know a girl who was being offered $5k a month for feet pics.

Haaaaaaaaaa

How has market value been changed by an owner setting a wage policy?

in an industry where the consumer subsidizes wages for ownership to benefit?

It's a Mexican restaurant. Who do you think they are competing with for employees?

Paying someone the same for serving a table of 2 vs a party of 10 plus is some commie gobbledegook.

So what if that 10 top tips the same as the 2 top?

And that person with the 10 top probably only has that table. The other server may have 2-3 more tables.

Never said the market changed. I said, like a typical liberal, you’re so arrogant that you feel that your opinion supersedes the market:

You:

Please show me any industry where customers don’t pay for the wages of the employees.

Sure the model is atypical - with there being a direct payment from customer to employee - but even if you remove this practice, which some restaurants have, prices increase across the board so that customers can pay for the increased hourly rate.

Literally every restaurant and bar in the geographic area.

Over the long haul, that isn’t reality. Every once in a while you may get that but, long term averages, the ten top is going to an exponentially higher payment.

The Supreme Court says a business cannot refuse service based on race so you got me there.

A 10 top for 3 hours, only table

2, 2 tops, a 4 top, and a 3 top over 3 hours

Who makes more in tips?
