This shod be a bigger news story.

If it was gun violence it’d be the only thing discussed around the country

Every major news outlet is covering it. Not sure what else you want.

It’s literally the top news story on every site.

I’m in orange beach this week and lots of people talking about it here. I’ve gotten multiple alerts from Fox 8 New Orleans, so I know it’s being covered back home.

Anyone who has kids is reading about this story and feeling some level of grief. I cannot imagine what those parents are feeling. I feel guilt just being at the beach while they’re searching for their kids.

It’s horrible and I hope those parents get the support they will most certainly need.

Just horribly sad. Can't imagine what the parents and loved ones are going through.

I don’t normally pray, but I did this morning for the families of the victims and for the rescue teams that will inevitably find the bodies of young children

I believe the river peaked around 4-5 am in Hunt, which is upstream of Kerrville. That was early Friday morning.

My wife went to Camp Mystic several times as a child. She even considered sending our daughter there this summer, but ultimately decided not to and to just wait until next year. She is taking it hard.

Flash Flood Warning was issued at 1:00 am on July 4th, and then a Flash Flood Emergency was issued at 4:00 am.

You would think that of the 20+ missing girls from the camp, at least one of them would have been found by now? This is puzzling?

It’s the headline on every major outlet. Way to politicize a tragedy you POS.

The images I've seen of that river is that it's absolutely slam full of debris. Logs, houses, boats, cars, and millions of tons of silt. I'm afraid most of the bodies will be very difficult to recover. Some may never be found. It's like the most unspeakable insult on top of the most unspeakable tragedy that one can imagine.

WSJ has reported one of the girls names. An 8 year old from Mountain Brook, AL.

Some bodies have been recovered, but massive debris piles will hinder the search.

With the amount of debris in the area and the way the water was moving, it’s going to take a while to find more and several will likely never be found.

After the Memorial Day flood of 2015, not far away, some bodies were never found. Land owners along that river were warned to be careful during debris cleanup to be on the lookout. Gruesome.

Would probably be it for me if this were to ever happen to my kids. Don’t see how you ever recover
