This video is actually shot in Center Point. But you can see all the debris getting carried. Watching trees taken down. And all the debris. Around 2:30 from the end a house is carried to the bridge and wedged against it, mere feet from person filming.
I had so many moments asking why this guy didn’t get to end of bridge faster but realize if he didn’t survive this film wouldn’t exist. Also all the vehicles continuing over bridge as its close to going over - they must know how tall the bridge is and yet still decided to cross with water up to edge. You would not catch me doing that.
Amazing the power of flowing water. And thinking of how much water it took to be that high and fast. Just a tragic situation and I pray for the parents of those who lost children.

It's reported that they are finding people in trees 8 +miles downstream. These are people able to still grab onto the trees. Now think about those that were not able to hold on, they could be 20 + miles downstream stream and buried under lots of debris along the way.

They have found more. They just aren’t releasing the info.

I’m not sure how some of these camps, specifically Mystic, recover. Survivors will no doubt have guilt and PTSD. Whatever cabins that weren’t washed away will be houses of horrors. It wouldn’t surprise me if that facility was completely torn down and rebuilt somewhere else.
I'm not certain they can, as insurance companies may not insure the properties or business in the current locations.

I’ve got one that’s almost two and one that’s 7… this absolutely makes me sick. I kept holding out hope they were going to find more holding on to a tree and maybe they will lost in the woods but not looking good and it makes me sick…

Ignore his posts. They have no value. He's not worth your time and there will be less of his clutter in this thread.
It's really a miracle that 800 people have been rescued. The pictures of the debris are stunningly depressing. I feel for those responders and volunteers working to recover the missing.
I saw an article on a Louisiana girl who was a counselor and got all 14 of her campers to safety. I expect we'll see more stories of heroes as time goes on. We need some bright lights in this morose story.

Just saw a headline that the unaccounted for is down to 11 campers and 1 counselor. Didn’t see names of who’s been identified yet. Still not sure about the girl we know but I’m not expecting good news at this point.

This video is actually shot in Center Point.
Here is the original posting of the video by the person who recorded it. Who ever posted that to Xwitter took it from someone who put their name on it and sped it up.
Anyway, this is the full-length video in better quality:

A friend worked as a LEO in the Hurricane Helen aftermath in Asheville. As others have stated, the power of water is unmatched. It moved so much mud, silt, rocks, and anything in its way, depositing everything in different spots along the river.
There was a spot in the river that had been deeper, and it was much more shallow than before. A homeless encampment was upriver, and they found a multitude of bodies there. This is just a devastating story—can’t imagine what the parents are going through.

Have you seen the clip of Tom Segura asking Bert Kreischer how long would it take to get over his wife dying?

This is becoming a problem with every disaster response. They have a no fly zone in place. It was over a larger area a couple of days ago. It sounds like they need to expand it again.

That's incredible
We all know it. Just like we all know that we like our girls more than our boys.

That's sadly good news for some of the families in this saga. There are still other folks missing as well who were not related to Mystic.

What time of day was that video shot? It's incredible.

This is correct. They have found and identified more and families have been notified. Just not released to the press.

After the Memorial Day flood of 2015, not far away, some bodies were never found. Land owners along that river were warned to be careful during debris cleanup to be on the lookout. Gruesome.
I just read about a survivor (son of the mayor or of a former mayor of Corpus) who was in a vacation house taken by that flood with his family, and the house ended up hitting a bridge or something and broke apart. He was rescued miles downstream, but the bodies of his wife and 2 young children have never been found.
He eventually joined a search and rescue team and has been helping with this flood.

It would have had to be some time in the morning after daylight given that Center Point isn't far as the crow flies from Kerrville.
One interesting part of that video is that the lead flood wall had no mass of debris with it. It was not pushing a debris wall that was full of vegitstion, trees, silt/mud, etc. like it was when it came through the camp area and into Kerrville itself. I think a lot of that debris wall washed out in Kerrville Lake and Center Point Lake. That video was taken from the 480 bridge just below the lake.
The debris was much more evenly distributed by this point. It was a different animal prior to Kerrville Lake, when it pushed thought the camp area.
