What he said. It’s not the oysters. You would know if you ate a bad oyster right away.

Not much bacteria or vibrio present with the current water temperatures unless someone mishandled the oysters you ate which would be extremely difficult to do this time of year.

Oh someone held them. Held them without washing their hands after wiping their arse.

I got sick from oysters at my girlfriend's house one time. That was hell and embarrassing. It was 2 days of the most severe shitting, vomiting and then having 20 minute reprieves before the cycle repeated.

2 days. I couldn't even leave to go back to my apartment.

There once was a poster named fr33manator
Whose arse, one night, became a decanter
His food had a shell
Which caused his insides to rebel
Now his toilet looks like a planter.

His posts were all poems,
His words always roamed,
Assumed he was an alter of David the Gnome.
But by now he’s in pain as these words hit his brain
Rest in power to his now black commode.

Drink a bottle of distilled vinegar. Will kill all the bad bacteria inside.

Made it through the night. Tossed and turned and doubled over with cramps but I finally fell asleep and didn’t shite the bed…

Maybe it was just bad gas

Stomach is still rolling and cramping but none of the other action

This happened to me recently after oysters.
The first night I was up and down with cramps all night then the following day it all started coming out the back end. I was in the bathroom every 5-10 minutes most of the day.
Good news is that it was only 24 hours so I’m guessing food poisoning.
Pedialyte and water with lemon slices helped. No appetite at first and by early evening I was able to start eating. Slept fine that night and back to normal the next day.

Never gotten sick from oysters before. What am I in for?

The one time I was hit with it, I just pissed out of my arse for 2 days, and tried to run the Crescent City Classic on the 3rd.

I ended up walking the 10K.

Cramps are not quite as bad as they were during the night but now I feel something a-bubblin’ and a-gurglin’.

Just called in.
It feels like the calm before the storm.

Happened to me last summer in Grand Isle. Thought I mixed too much hard stuff with beer while pounding out about two dozen raw oysters. First night was gas, still crampy the next morning. Put the boat in at Fourchon and was shitting over the side of it by 9am. Got back to the camp and had a rough 36 hours of shitting pure water, but never puked. Buddy of mine had the same thing that ate them as well.

ETA: just looked at my camera roll from when we got to the camp and it was a year ago yesterday. And the first thing my dad said when I talked to him after was “boy May ain’t got no “r” in it”.
