They oysters were awesome, huge and tasty, smelled great, looked great, tasted great.

But now…I don’t feel great. Came on sudden. Severe stomach cramps, not really nausea but pain. No other symptoms yet.

Advice? I took some Alka-seltzer. Feel like shite.

Never gotten sick from oysters before. What am I in for?

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is working with federal, state, and local officials, and with Canadian public health authorities regarding a norovirus outbreak linked to raw oysters from British Columbia, Canada. The FDA has confirmed that potentially contaminated raw oysters harvested in the south and central parts of Baynes Sound, British Columbia, Canada, were distributed to restaurants and retailers in CA, CO, FL, HI, IL, MA, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TX, and WA. It is possible that additional states received these oysters through further distribution within the U.S.

Make sure you have plenty of Gatorade, Propel, or other liquids on hand. You can dehydrate quickly from puking and diarrhea.

You made it 3hours. You’ll be fine.

Maybe. I’m not doctor, so who really knows.

The cramps come and go. I’m burping a bunch and that seems to help. Not really nauseous.

How long until I know if this is gonna be bad or not?
