Gulf Shores needs a substation. The snowbirds have robbed the food court of napkins and condiments.

My GF my freshman year was from Baton Rouge and her family would eat there once a week. Joined many times for a free meal for a poor college kid. Always hit the spot.

Most likely from a Louisiana resident who has a beach house in Ft Morgan. Ft Morgan was in the inner eye wall of Sally and had 110 mph winds for 8-10 hours so it makes sense it was swept way out. Ft Morgan only has about 500 full time residents and they all mostly have teeth. 75% are retired from elsewhere.

Pizza delivered at midnight when the reception was ending. Took a box to the room and the rest to those who survived that long. Leftovers made it to the conference room of the hotel and drinks and pizza commenced between family and friends for hours.
re: It is 80 degrees right now. Does this mean the crawfish prices will be down this year?

Made the mistake of asking my Dad for some crawfish today. He said at $5 a pound you can buy your own. I’m selling everything! ??

Sophomore year at LSU living off W Parker Blvd. Some guy gave a sob story about needing gas to get to his daughter in Nola as I was leaving Middleton to walk home. Gave home $5. All I had. Got home, told my roommate and he gave the same guy $20. My Roommate spent 2 days looking for the guy. Found him outside Kirby Smith taking money from a girl he knew from class. Needless to say we all got our money back and guy had 3 broken fingers.

I’m lucky enough to live on a dead end street and I live on the last house on the Cul de sac. First house you pass is a State Tropper and his wife is a K9 officer with local PD. Beautiful dogs. Next door is a peacher and 2 Retired Marines next to him. Good luck FAFO

Gulf Shores here. I’d get a hotel and make a weekend out of it. Downtown Pensacola on Palofox is great.

Miss St vs Florida St a few weeks ago sold out in Wahoo Stadium. It’s a beautiful venue and close to all the downtown restaurants and bars.

Let me know if you need crawfish for the upcoming season
My brother and Dad have pond in Meaux and Forked Island. I grew up with The Stelly’s. I’ll let you know what they come up with as it’s a brand new distribution company and they are going through growing pains.
Sorry about pricing on BSF shipping. Logistics have been a nightmare since Covid. I’m exploring other options to ship to friends and family. I can make sure you get some for Christmas at least lol weather it’s shopping or I delivery myself. Will be in Kaplan week of Christmas with cooler full.

Looked into shipping some from Bon Secour to NWLA for Thanksgiving at my parents. $80 oysters and $160 shipping. I think we will pass
Being that close and this time of year I would inquire about UPS ground shipping which should be cheaper. Always ask for Mrs Becky. They have a few new employees. But as I said we are working on getting them West regularly.

Yep that’s outrageous shipping. I’m assuming Holiday pricing. Working on getting shipping available from my supplier in Bayou La Batre. Price increases when you have to cross the Bayway. Keep in mind if any local restaurants use Evans Meats or Inland Seafood they can get them delivered. Working on getting a truck to Louisiana for Crawfish season.
Yes that would be me. Grew up in Vermilion Parish. Went to High School in Kaplan. Good Baws down there. Glad you enjoyed!

Water temps right now and salinity have the oysters very healthy. 21 days in refrigerator or longer this time of year. After shucking treat as any other seafood. I’ve have some at 32 days in my fridge and still haven’t gaped or lost liquor. Every week we harvest I keep a dozen in the fridge to get data on shelf life:

Sorry no shucked meats. Wasn’t worth it on our end as our half shell market is strong right now. But you can get them shipped and find a neighborhood shucker that needs Christmas money. Usually they ship 2 day ground. Otis and Balls can chime in as I’m not apart of the shipping process. We are harvesting Monday afternoon. I would call BSF Monday morning if you want for Thanksgiving.
I will say this warm Fall has them very salty with clean fat meats. Growing fast.

mailman; any possibility you might sell pre-shucked oysters in containers for use in thanksgiving dressing?
Ask and you shall receive. In negotiations with our processors to do shucked meats during the Holiday Season. I’ll let you guys know. I’ll send CAD a free shirt if it works out and is successful!
