About to hit the road to Pennsylvania.

Any recommendations on some good podcasts to make the drive more tolerable?

I always recommend Bill Burr. Dude is hilarious and he just BS's for about an hour about current events.

Dirty John was an interesting true crime story. It kept my attention the entire time.

Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History.

He tends to ramble a little, but his subject matter is always interesting. I particularly liked “Blueprint for Armageddon” about the events leading up to WWI.

Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History is very well executed. Good storyteller and capable of telling the truth despite his obvious leftist leanings.

Truth and Justice: They take a case and try to solve it, or try to get someone wrongly convicted out of jail. The current episode deals with the West Memphis Three.

Casefile: Worldwide crimes. Their series on Original Nighstalker is the best I've heard.

Louisiana Eat and Greet: Local eateries in Louisiana. Good down home stuff.

Unsolved. Guy interviews family of missing people.

Heaven's Gate. About the cult.

30 for 30.

I listen to podcasts while I work in the yard.

This would be more for the Politics board, but if you are a right winger I'd recommend:
- The Remnant with Jonah Goldberg: Goldberg is a classical conservative who is not on board with the populism of Trump (he sees it as the understandable but incorrect backlash against the ultimate issue and that being the Left's tribalism). He throws in some pop culture humor to keep it from being too dry. Here is his weekly G-file for a taste of his style and content.
- Perino & Stirewalt: I'll tell you what: Dana Perino and Chris Stirewalt from Fox News but more laid back. I enjoy the banter and Stirewalt knows his stuff.
- Econtalk- economic topics from a libertarian perspective.

Non-politics I enjoy:
- Freakonomics Radio- random topics done well.
- Car Talk- rebroadcasts of the NPR show. I think folks either really like or hate the click and clack the tappet brothers.
- The Way I Heard it with Mike Rowe: this is Mike Rowe with 5 minute stories- his admitted nod to Paul Harvey. Not sure how the 5 minute format would fit into a long drive...
- There is widespread praise for a History Podcast but I am forgetting the name; I'll sure someone will pipe in with it soon.

Enjoy!
