Per capita income:

$27,027

That’s an average of $519.75 a week

Looks like there’s going to be a bunch of people hoping the Rona stays around a while longer

Yeah this is going be a huge problem for the economy when things get back to normal. No one is going to do the low paying jobs because the government is paying them more to sit at home.

you dont get the extra money. Unemployment replace lost income up to the cap ($247 normally, now $847)

you dont make more then you lost

EDIT: also have to prove that that you were RIFed and you dont have available job to work....

I don't think you'll get more than you previously earned. That's just the maximum. There are likely going to be plenty that are making the same money to not work though.

Per-Capita income is a poor metric to use here.

Those not in the labor force can’t receive unemployment so they need to be removed from the equation.

I'm going to have to file for some of that unemployment.

Never mind. I retired of my own free will on Feb 29 and I'm not a leech.

I haven't asked the people where I work if the CNAs are still coming in ... God bless them because ours do a fantastic job for crap pay. Fortunately, they do love their little people so I'm hoping/assuming that they're all still showing up. Unless they're sick .. then STAY HOME!

Stupid question: Is this "stimulus" in addition to unemployment expected to continue way past when restaurants, bars, etc. open back up?

Pretty sure it’s a flat 600 to what the state pays.

This isn't true. The extra $600 from the feds is all of it. Even if you only get $1 from the state, the feds will give another $600 no matter what.

Not true. The $600 is a flat rate for everyone who qualifies for UI. That is added to the amount one would normally receive (up to $247 in LA).

Not everyone gets the maximum benefit.

In fact, the vast majority of people don't.

Of course it is WTF you people been. Dems have recruited millions more freeloaders for votes. There better be a way to show which enrollees have jobs offers when they become available or we are frickED.
