Looking to do a long weekend or mid-week trip to Fairhope soon. Any suggestions on what to do while there would be appreciated. TIA

Wife and I are thinking of taking a trip there for our 10th anniversary and staying at the Grand Hotel. Looking for good recs for all meals and dessert places as well. TIA

I do see what you're saying and your point. In infinite universes there is one where you can have everything you want and not be corrupted. But even Verity couldn't escape her original reality of bullying and no matter what she did she wasn't happy.

I also thought about the moral implications of changing anything. What could devolve even from improving physical or mental health without going through the work of doing it yourself? The only thing I could think of is changing an illness or chronic disease for people so they don't have to see a child die or suffer.

Yeah I agree but sometimes I feel like shows are fiction for a reason and don't have to explain every detail. It just is what it is.

Because no matter how much you think it wouldn't, money will corrupt you. It may be slow and not noticeable at first but too much money will ruin you.

This concept is pretty crazy and it got me thinking what would be the perfect alternate reality/dimension that you could set up for yourself. Ideally I would make it that my family was completely healthy and we had enough money to be comfortable but not insanely rich. I would not want to be emperor of the universe or do harm to anyone. Just simple pleasures and no financial stress and I am good to go. What say you guys and gals? What would your perfect alternate dimension be?
re: What is The Worst Job You've Ever Had?
Posted by GeauxTigahs92 on 4/9/25 at 7:58 am
Wasn't an actual job but when I was in grad school for Physical Therapy one of my 8 week clinicals was in two nursing homes in Slidell and I was absolutely miserable. You are surrounded by miserable workers who are only there because they're getting paid more to be there and by mostly miserable patients. I felt terrible for most of them though. No visitors and terrible staff that did not give two shits about them. I will never forget a 95 y/o lady with dementia crying true tears because she didn't tell her mom where she was and she would be worried sick about her. I basically said eff this, no matter what you pay me I will never do this for my actual job. Luckily my mentor was really cool and took me out for beers a few times and bought me a case when I finished up. He was the only thing that made it tolerable. Talked any and all LSU sports all day.

Yeah I was pulling for the rednecks. They were all in. And yeah my wife wasn’t either hence the being single part of my post. Haha. But I could definitely become obsessed with that if I had the time and money.

Binged this over the weekend and I could definitely see myself being obsessed with this if I was single and had the resources and time to devote to actually searching for a hidden treasure chest. Very cool story and quite an interesting twist at the end.
re: St. Thomas- USVI recs

I always recommend St. John over St. Thomas. Both are beautiful but St. Thomas is more touristy where St. John is more beaches due to it mostly being a national park. I always recommend Maho Bay on St. John. Great snorkeling and you're guaranteed to see sea turtles. Trunk Bay was voted best beach on the planet in 2024 and for good reason. Absolutely beautiful but can get crowded. Skinny Legs is a must do for lunch and Colombo's is a good breakfast spot. 1864 is a great dinner spot. It has been a few years since I have been but it was great and I want to go back when my daughters are older. Also, if you want to do some charter fishing Just Fish was fantastic and relatively cheap. Definitely my favorite place I have been so far. Always jealous when people come on here and say they are going. You will love it.

I stand corrected. I was positive that LA required it. That's one thing this state does right.

Louisiana public schools require vaccinations to attend for one thing.

I am almost done with it and that’s exactly what it is. But she does it perfectly. All research based from a former well known and respected nephrologist. It sure makes me not want to vaccinate my 4 month old any further. But the way things are set up it makes it hard to not vaccinate. It’s a great discussion so far.

Exactly. And in the moment you think she’s referring to Gemma.
re: Severance Season 2 Discussion (Spoilers)

True. I also noticed when outie Mark was talking to innie Mark he mistakenly called Helly Heleny. Wondering if that was a hint that she’s still outie Helen E. (Heleny) and not innie Helly R. That struck me as weird when he called her the wrong name. And also that look she gave Gemma at the end was evil. A straight up F you. I feel like Helly R. wouldn’t do that but Helly E. would. That’s how Irving could tell she was still her outie earlier this season because she was mean and cruel. Now we wait 1.5-2 years for next season.

I’m holding out hope they’re just trying to save as many people as possible before leaving. That’s about the only way I see it working out. If not, this was an unfortunate turn. Kind of feel like the entire two seasons were wasted.
