Has that ever worked out for you, or do you file it under ‘worthless spending’ right below insurance payments?

I'll spend more buying lunch 2x a week. It's a small amount and a little more peace of mind to keep what's most important to me a little more protected.

We canceled our alarm service and just use our own security cameras now...

Send me money. I’ll give you nothing in return. Piece of mind tho…this is why people don’t get ahead.

I actually save money by carrying an alarm service since the discount received on my home insurance policy more than covers it.

I don’t think it would thwart much but it keeps my wife at peace.

It’s the cost of having a wife.

I always though it was a waste of money so I never bought it. We had our house broken into once before Christmas. I don't have anything worth stealing. They made a giant mess, did about $1000 worth of damage to the front door, and walked away with some costume jewelry. All in all, it cost less than the yearly monitoring fees.

Just buy the alarm company signs and stickers on Amazon and use your own cameras.
