Someone ask this guys urologist for the reasoning.

I have shite to do today
 this isn’t 1996

Xyosted (subcutaneous testosterone enanthate auto-injector) has a few key advantages over traditional testosterone cypionate IM injections:
Convenience & delivery — Xyosted is a weekly subcutaneous auto-injector (similar to an EpiPen), so you’re using a small needle into belly fat rather than a larger IM needle into the glute or delt. Much easier to self-administer.
Steadier levels — Subcut absorption tends to produce more stable serum testosterone levels with fewer peaks and troughs compared to IM cypionate, which can cause a spike post-injection and a dip before the next one. That means fewer mood/energy swings tied to your injection schedule.
Lower estrogen conversion — Studies have shown subcut testosterone delivery may result in less aromatization (conversion to estradiol), which could mean fewer estrogen-related side effects like water retention or gynecomastia.
Less polycythemia risk — The steadier levels may reduce the degree of hematocrit/red blood cell elevation compared to IM, though monitoring is still recommended.
The trade-off — Xyosted is significantly more expensive, and not all insurance covers it well. Testosterone cypionate IM is generic and dirt cheap by comparison. Some guys on TRT also prefer compounded subcut cypionate (drawn from a vial, injected subcut with an insulin syringe) as a middle-ground approach — you get the subcut benefits at generic pricing.
Worth asking your prescriber about if the peak/trough swings on cypionate are bugging you.????????????????

well then why are doctors pushing shite like this without doing their own research? are they that lazy, incompetent or just don't give a frick and push it because they like the rep?

I mean-lazy and incompetent is part of it. I think you’re generalizing things, though. What are other things you’re talking about?

ok then explain to me like im 5 why they would prescribe a branded drug for 1 extra day of half life and that is also available as a generic? so its either they are dumb or getting a kick back. there is no other possible scenario. so which is it? incompetence or corruption?

The product is marketed by Inizio Engage reps. Contract pharma reps. Kickbacks are illegal and that’s not the way pharma works. At all. They found some clinical trial and trying to make a buck on the data that says it’s in your system longer than test cyp. I personally take test cyp and wouldn’t take Xyosted.

But there’s clinical data somewhere that shows an advantage.

To answer your question-It’s there to make a buck for the company. Doctors do not get paid for writing prescriptions. That world does not exist anymore.
